Unit efficiencies are measured by the seasonal energy efficiency rating (SEER or SEER2). The higher the rating, the more efficient the unit is when operating. HILCO members who replace their existing HV AC equipment with an eligible HVAC unit or install an eligible HVAC unit during home construction will be eligible to receive a rebate, based on the unit's efficiency.
- Install a 16 SEER (or higher) or a 15.2 SEER2 (or higher) Central Air Conditioning/Heating unit which is Energy Star Certified and receive a rebate of $150.00.
If replacing an existing system, the new system must have a rating 2 points higher than the old unit and cannot have a SEER rating ofless than 16 or a SEER2 rating of less than 15.2. To receive the rebate, simply complete this form and upload a copy of your receipt. The receipt must contain the license number of the qualified contractor and the Air-Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) designation of the SEER or SEER2 rating. Rebate requests must be postmarked within sixty days from the date of the installation and must occur within 2026.
