• Scary Sharpsburg Boat Launch

    10/31/26 10am to 1pm

  • Join Allegheny Cleanways on a SPOOOOOOKY boat cleanup on Halloween! We will be meeting at the Sharpsburg Boat Launch on Saturday, October 31st at 10am for a boat ride and shoreline cleanup to celebrate the end of the water season and All Hallows' Eve!

All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes or boots and long pants. Dressing up is encouraged! Your costume needs to work on a boat and a muddy shoreline, so please make sure it doesn't restrict your movement, block your vision, or interfere with wearing a life jacket.  Long sleeves and a (witches?) hat are encouraged to protect from poison ivy, ticks, ghosts and sunny weather. Please be advised these cleanups are messy. Bring extra clothing as you may want to add layers, loose layers or change after the cleanup. We will provide work gloves and all other necessary tools and materials. Please be sure to bring your filled reusable water bottle!

*NOTE: Cleanups may end early or be canceled for inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. Volunteers will receive an email by 8:00am the day of the cleanup.

Please send any questions, comments, or trash talk to ben@alleghenycleanways.org

Thank you for joining our efforts!
