This includes trucking companies, bus companies, and other commercial carriers that transport goods or passengers for hire. The IRP registration is necessary when the vehicles have a gross vehicle weight (GVW) or combined gross vehicle weight (CGW) of 26,000 pounds or more, or if the vehicle has three or more axles, regardless of weight.
