Universities UK is collecting this information to select a mix of participants for the focus groups. We will only share it if you are selected. If you are, we will pass your name, email address, university, level and field of study, gender, whether you are involved in innovation activity, your session time and your answers to the consent questions below to Public First, the independent research agency that will run the focus groups and analyse the findings. Public First will not receive the details of anyone who is not selected, and neither organisation will tell your university that you have registered.
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how universities support students to develop new ideas, skills and ventures. Taking part is entirely voluntary. We will keep your registration details for six months and then delete them.
Universities UK and Public First are jointly responsible for the focus groups themselves. Public First holds the recordings and transcripts, deletes recordings within six months of the sessions, and anonymises everything before it is analysed or published. Universities UK receives anonymised findings, and confirmation of who attended so that we can send your voucher.
You can withdraw at any time, and you can ask either organisation to show you, correct or delete your information. Contact Universities UK at dataprotection@universitiesuk.ac.uk or Public First's Data Protection Officer at lbetham@stonehaven.uk.com.
Please view the full privacy notices of Public First and Universities UK, for more information about how they handle your data.
The final question, about updates from Universities UK on the Future Universities campaign, is separate from the research. Your answer to it makes no difference to whether you are selected.
