This 6 week throwing course is ideal for complete beginners or anyone looking to practice their throwing skills! Blair has been making thrown pots for 4 years and has taught classes at the ceramics workshop in Dundee. They have recently moved to Devon to learn about wood firing and have found themselves in a beautiful corner of East Devon, ready to continue spreading joy through clay!

During this 6 week block, you will learn all the essentials to make a functional pot. Starting with centering, pulling walls to make height and creating forms on the wheel, you will then learn to trim and finish the pots with feet and handles. The pots will then be bisque fired and in the final weeks you will be able to decorate and glaze your work before a final firing, after which your beautiful functional pots will be ready to collect. The price of the course includes the clay and glazes you will use. Both the bisque and glaze firing will be priced depending on the weight of the pots you chose to finish all the way.

The next block of classes will take place 6 - 8:30 pm on Wednesdays from November 4th until December 16th, (skipping November 25th) 2026
