We, the undersigned residents of Northampton, support this ordinance which would prevent current weapons manufacturers from expanding facilities or production capabilities in any way and prevent additional weapons manufacturers from moving into Northampton. We implore the city to use all possible tools to shut down current weapons manufacturers, invest in ethical jobs and industries, and end Northampton's role in the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide in Palestine, ICE deportations and surveillance, and increased U.S. aggression against the people of Venezuela, Iran, and around the world.
