  • ShopArtMb Artwork Submission Call for "The Wonder & The Wild"

A Visual Dialogue, nature intertwined with threads of imagination. Curated by Jordan Miller / ShopArtMb Collective.
  • Celebrating Shop Art Mb's 1 yr website anniversary launch! If this is your first time hearing about us, please view our website's about page here.

The Wonder & The Wild: A Visual Dialogue featuring nature intertwined with Threads of Imagination will be our first ShopArtMb Online Exhibition featuring Collective Members and Non-Collective Artists. If this is a successful online event we will transition to more online themed exhibitions in the Spring, Summer and Fall 2027.

We are looking to showcase Emerging & Professional Artists wishing to sell art.

All art must be for sale. Please carefully read about concept, guidelines, and terms.

    The Look:

-Artwork that is nature/wildlife based or imagination based/combination of the two.

-Artwork that is fresh, newly created, completed in 2026. Art that your audience and ours has not viewed. ie. if its been in an exhibition previously / if work has been in your studio for years, please create a new art piece(s).

-We are looking for a variety of styles from abstract to realism.

The Pro-Vibe of ShopArtMb Online themed Exhibitions:

-Curated by Jordan Miller, former gallery owner of cre8ery gallery-now art consultant for shopartmb.  We love all art, artists and artforms we are looking at what is likely to sell from a gallery-client perspective. This means that submitting does not gaurentee acceptance.

-We love the idea of introducing new artists to our audeince as well as unique works that we don't see in every gallery in Manitoba, provided that the art fits the look.

-We are looking for art that clients will have an emotional connection to, creating a visual dialouge as a conversation starter.  For this reason artists must submit a  story that matches their art piece.

-There will be a new shop category added to our website "The Wonder & The Wild" this is where this show will be exhibited.  As a chronically ill individual running this ShopArtPage, I see this as a way to promote the artists and earn a living (for full transparency).

Size of Original Art: 12"+ to 30" in width/height in either direction. Does not have to be square. Painting on both stretched canvas or wood panels 1" or 1.5" deep is fine.

Prices for all pieces must be $125+ and appropriate market value.

    Professional Submissions:

-All images must be professionally documented as we are an online gallery.

-All images must be cropped to the edges with no background / wall visable.

-Blurry, out-of-focus images are unacceptable / unusable for marketing.

-Please size your images to approximetly1MB for easy uploading. Images too small will not show well on our website on computers.

-Please submit a cohesive series of 2-3 works.

    Instragram Collaboration Posts:

-Artists must accept the collaboration posts made by shopartmb.  Artwork should not be posted by the artists in advance of the online exhibition. Descriptions submitted on this form will be edited as we see fit.  Artists can inform us if we made an error before accepting the collaborations.  Two minds always work better than one - just like two accounts work better than one!

-Artists must have an Instagram account to take part in this exhibition.

Commission - What the commission supports:

-Our yearly website and hosting fees, transaction fees, the time for us to post on social media and list each item on our website shop.

-To pick up artwork in Winnipeg, Selkirk or St. Andrews. I will package and ship (I will meet the artist depending on location (selkirk/St. Andrews). Artists living outside of these areas we will discuss logisitics after submission.

-To deliver or ship the artwork to the client, professionally wrapped.

-Our commission is 25%. We do not add sales tax to the price, Artists will be paid 75% of the price listed on this form. If you have your own tax number and claim tax amounts, please make sure you claim your taxable portion.

-Your pricing must be consistent if you are selling the piece or if shopartmb is selling the art piece. Anyone who undercuts the gallery by selling their works we are advertising will not be accepted into future exhibitions.  Please be respectful of our online concept and online community members. This is a community project to support other community members.

Existing ShopArtMb Collective Members will continue to be shown on our shopartmb Instagram and may not be a part of this specific call. Collective Members will have to apply for this exhibition as this is open to all artists from all walks of life.

Online Exhibition fee: for accepted artists only. Artists, submission is free.

    1 piece $15

    2 pieces $28 (works out to $14 a piece)

    3 pieces $35 (works out to $12 a piece)

This will help cover our time for uploading each piece on social media and the website, writing descriptions for each product and setting up shipping rates. In the event that artwork doesn't sell this allows us to focus on this exhibition / making sure the exhibition is up shortly following the submission deadline. This project will take away from other soures of income for the shop. The project is a limited time project, unlike our arts collective that is a long term project.

    When an artist's work sells:

-When your top choice of the 3 art pieces sell, your second piece will be moved up to the top of the website list as a reward for your sale. If you are submitting 3 pieces we ask that all pieces submitted flow together as a cohesive series. We will do this so that people view the full collection from top to bottom.

-We will meet artist to collect the art and deliver it to the client. The art will then be removed from shopartmb's website and stay on the Instagram account (Marked as sold).

-If all of an artist's works sell, they may be considered for a position in the ShopArtMb Collective when we open the collective up to a maximum of 15 artists.
