Boxoffice Pro, the world’s largest trade publication covering the movie theater business, is recognizing new builds and renovations that deliver an elevated moviegoing experience to audiences worldwide.
Honoring cinemas in two categories—new builds and renovations—we will be announcing the next class of Boxoffice Blue Ribbon cinemas at CinemaCon 2027.
The Boxoffice Blue Ribbon recognizes excellence in the moviegoing experience for newly built or renovated cinemas across four metrics: design, technology, hospitality, and community engagement. A panel of judges scores each submission independently, rating each cinema on a scale of 1 to 10. The cinemas that receive the highest composite scores in our independent ratings will be named as part of our 2027 class of Blue Ribbon cinemas.
Boxoffice Blue Ribbons are limited to new sites and renovations that have opened since 2020. We will only consider sites that operate as commercial cinemas: no private/corporate screening rooms or venues that don’t sell tickets to the general public. There is no limit to the number of locations you can submit for any given cinema chain, so feel free to submit as many individual locations as you'd like.
There is no cost to submit your cinema for consideration.
Our submission deadline is now open and will run through January 15, 2027.
