By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in an experience at Highland Homestead involving Scottish Highland cattle and/or calves. I understand that interacting with large animals involves inherent risks, and I agree to the terms below. ASSUMPTION OF RISK I understand that cattle are large, strong, and unpredictable animals and may react suddenly or unexpectedly to people, sounds, movements, other animals, weather, or unfamiliar situations. I understand that participation may involve risks including, but not limited to, being bumped, pushed, stepped on, kicked, knocked down, bitten, scratched, or otherwise injured. I voluntarily assume these risks associated with participating in the Highland Homestead experience. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS I agree to follow all safety instructions provided by Highland Homestead owners, staff, and representatives at all times. I agree to: 1. Remain in designated guest areas. 2. Follow all instructions regarding approaching and interacting with the cattle. 3. Wear closed-toe shoes during my visit. 4. Approach, pet, brush, or interact with the cattle only when permitted or directed by Highland Homestead staff. 5. Never climb, sit on, lean over, or cross fences or barriers. 6. Never feed the cattle unless specifically instructed by Highland Homestead staff. 7. Never intentionally startle, chase, hit, tease, or otherwise disturb an animal. 8. Maintain a safe distance from animals when instructed to do so. 9. Immediately follow staff instructions if an animal becomes agitated or if staff determine that an area is unsafe. CHILDREN & MINORS Children and minors must remain under the direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times. The supervising adult is responsible for ensuring that children follow all Highland Homestead safety rules and staff instructions. WEATHER, ANIMAL SAFETY & EMERGENCIES I understand that Highland Homestead may need to reschedule an experience because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, emergencies, animal welfare concerns, or other circumstances beyond Highland Homestead's control. I understand that animal behavior can change unexpectedly and that Highland Homestead cannot guarantee how an animal will behave during an experience. I agree to immediately follow any instruction to move away from an animal, leave an area, or end an interaction. RELEASE & RESPONSIBILITY To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I voluntarily assume responsibility for the risks associated with participating in the Highland Homestead experience. I agree to release and hold harmless Highland Homestead, its owners, staff, representatives, and agents from claims arising from my voluntary participation in the experience, except to the extent such release is prohibited by applicable law. I understand that I am responsible for my own safety and for supervising any children or minors in my care. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING I understand that Highland Homestead's cancellation, refund, and rescheduling policies apply to my reservation. Highland Homestead reserves the right to reschedule an experience when weather, safety conditions, animal welfare, emergencies, or other circumstances make the experience unsafe or impractical. PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE I understand that Highland Homestead may photograph or record guests during experiences for promotional purposes only if the guest gives permission through the Photo & Video Release selection on this form. ACKNOWLEDGMENT By signing this agreement, I confirm that: - I have read and understand this Liability Waiver & Guest Agreement. - I understand that interacting with Scottish Highland cattle and calves involves inherent risks. - I agree to follow all Highland Homestead safety rules and staff instructions. - I understand that children and minors must be supervised by a responsible adult. - I understand the closed-toe shoe requirement. - I voluntarily choose to participate in the Highland Homestead experience. - I have had the opportunity to ask questions about the experience and its risks. - I understand that my signature represents my agreement to these terms. By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to this Highland Homestead Liability Waiver & Guest Agreement.
