Welcome to "Flourish: Empowering Resilience and Integration" cohort 4, a W.O.M.E.N.'s initiative funded by Republic Bank through the Power to Make a Difference (PMAD, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM, designed to blend the livelihoods of local citizens and migrants. We aim for an inclusive community that celebrates diversity and empowers all to thrive.
The program will be conducted in a hybrid format, with virtual and in-person sessions. It will benefit 55 individuals - 20 from the migrant community and 35 local citizens, males and females living in Trinidad and Tobago.
The selected candidates will benefit from the following topics:
Sewing: Participants will learn to sew trending, marketable pieces that can open new opportunities for employment or entrepreneurship.
Hydroponics: Participants will learn to grow a variety of fresh, nutritious crops year-round in compact spaces, without arable land or traditional soil-based cultivation.
Carpentry: Participants will learn essential woodworking techniques, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials to create functional and decorative items. Following step-by-step instructions.
Nail Technology: Participants will learn the basics of nail technology. Topics include health, hygiene, and sanitation; tools and equipment; basic nail extensions; and acrylic application.
Integration workshop: Participants will foster a sense of community and collaboration, creating a supportive network that champions integrated livelihoods.
Entrepreneurship workshop: Participants will learn the fundamentals of starting and growing a successful business. Topics will include developing a business plan, identifying target markets, creating a strong value proposition, and understanding financial management.
