The Walker Youngbird Foundation and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts, one of the country’s longest-running residency programs for artists and writers, are partnering on a new four-week residency for Native artists.
This program is intended to give a Native artist dedicated time, space, and access to FAWC’s creative community to advance an existing body of work or pursue a new direction in their practice.
The selected artist will receive a private studio and apartment on the FAWC campus from May 23 to June 19, 2027. The artist will have access to its FAWC’s print, Risograph, and wood shops, and the opportunity to join its vibrant summer community of artists and writers. The residency will conclude with a public program developed in collaboration with the artist.
