National Rural Health Day Photo Contest

In honor of National Rural Health Day, Montana Office of Rural Health is hosting our annual Rural Photo Contest! 

Have you captured a photograph that embodies the spirit, beauty, and vastness of Montana's rural lands? Snapped an image of the faces that uplift and care for our communities? Have a photo in the camera roll of the animals that make up Montana's diverse ecosystem? We would love to see it! 

We are launching a new chapter in this photo contest: Categories! 

We want to see Landscapes & Places, People, and Animals! Enter up to a total of three images in these categories to show off your skills and all the beauty that rural Montana has to offer! 

The winner in each category will win a $100 giftcard. 

Submissions due Wednesday, November 4th at 5pm! 

Contest Rules:

1. Must be a resident of Montana.
2. Submissions must align with one of the three categories: Landscapes, People, Animals.
3. Submitters may submit up to 3 total photographs. 
4. Submissions must be the original photographic creation of the submitter. Images created, enhanced, or altered with generative AI will not be considered. 
5. Submissions must be made by November 4th, 2026 at 5pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.
6. All submitters must agree to the Photo Release and Consent Form.

Authorization and Consent

I hereby grant permission to Montana Office of Rural Health and Area Health Education Center, its employees, agents, representatives, and authorized partners, to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display photographs and digital images that I submit or that are taken of me for promotional, educational, marketing, fundraising, public relations, social media, website, print publications, newsletters, presentations, and other lawful organizational purposes.

I understand and agree that:

1. The photographs or images may be used individually or in combination with other images, text, graphics, or media.
2. The images may be edited, cropped, enhanced, or otherwise modified as deemed appropriate by the organization.
3. The images may be used in both digital and print formats, including but not limited to:
   • Social media platforms
   • Organization websites
   • Newsletters and email communications
   • Brochures and promotional materials
   • Annual reports
   • Presentations and educational materials
   • Media and public relations efforts
4. I will not receive compensation, royalties, or other payment for the use of these images.
5. I understand that once images are published online or distributed publicly, the organization may not be able to control their further use by third parties. 

Ownership, Rights, and Authenticity

I affirm that:

1. I am the owner of the submitted photographs and have the authority to grant this permission.
2. Generative AI was not used to create, enhance, or alter any submitted images. 
3. I grant Montana Office of Rural Health and Area Health Education Center a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use the submitted photographs for the purposes described in this agreement.

Release of Liability

I release and discharge Montana Office of Rural Health and Area Health Education Center, its officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and partners from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising from the use of the photographs or images as authorized by this release.
