Trafficking in the Salon
Recognizing Human Trafficking & Responding with Compassion
Every day, beauty professionals and community members have opportunities to build trust, offer kindness, and create spaces where people feel safe.
While most appointments and everyday interactions are routine, there are times when awareness and compassion can make a meaningful difference.
Trafficking in the Salon is education designed to increase understanding of human trafficking while equipping participants with practical tools for responding with empathy, professionalism, and confidence.
This course will take 4 hours to complete and qualifies for Continuing Education Credit with the State Board of Minnesota.
This is a multi module lesson. Consisting of fundemental information for professionals in the beauty industy to be aware of in regards to trafficking inthe community. Concluding with loads of resources for your salon or spa, your clients, and local community.
Part of this program is hosted in partnership with The LINK. An organization focused in Minnesota. This conversation is intended to educate—not alarm. Participants will gain a better understanding of what human trafficking is, who may be affected, and why trusted relationships within our communities matter.
The last part of the program is hosted by Milady. Milady is an industy leader of beauty education. MN Brow Lash & Medspa Academy has partnered with Milady as a RISE Partner School. -Upon completing both programs, you will fulfill 4 hours of Continuing Education Credits for license renewal with the state board of Minnesota. Additionaly, after completing the Milady certificate program, you may then become eligible for future perks and awards with Milady.

One of the most important messages of this training is that you are not expected to become an investigator or rescuer. Instead, you'll learn how awareness, empathy, and knowing where to turn for help can strengthen your ability to care for others while maintaining healthy professional boundaries.
