Apply for one full-tuition scholarship for a fall 2026 pilot course (Lealman residents only).
Full-Tuition Scholarships for Lealman Residents. The St. Pete Film Workshop is proud to offer one full-tuition scholarship for each of our two fall 2026 pilot courses (2 scholarships total). Scholarships are only for residents of the Lealman community.

You may apply for ONE course only, and each person can receive only one scholarship. The scholarship covers full tuition for the course. No experience is required for these 2 courses.

Application deadline: Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Applicants will be notified by the end of the day on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Introduction to Screenwriting: Mon & Wed, 7–9 pm, October 26 – December 7, 2026 (6 weeks, 12 classes). The fundamentals of dramatic structure, character, and scene craft, compressed into six focused weeks of writing and table reads. You'll need: a laptop and screenwriting software (Final Draft preferred; other software accepted).

Film Production 101: Tue & Thu, 7–9 pm, October 27 – December 8, 2026 (6 weeks, 12 classes). A full-pipeline crash course covering development, cinematography, directing actors, sound, and editing, built around crewing up and finishing a short film together. The course ends with a public screening of student films. You'll need: a camera (HD video capable or better) and a laptop capable of editing HD video.
