5:30p at Bay Spring Community Center
(Free, but RSVP so we have enough food)

Thank you for your interest in Healthy Masculinity, Healthy Community. A program that will empower teens to prevent intimate partner violence.
This program is made possible through a grant issue to the Barrington Prevention Coalition. HMHC is organized by Barrington Community Progress Association and was originally funded by a grant from the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence's Deborah DeBare Domestic Violence Prevention Fund.
The program will consist of three parts:
- Brief presentation of information about gender expectations, specifically around masculinity, and a facilitated discussion about how young people can help prevent violence before it starts.
- A panel discussion with a diverse group of men who will share their experiences relating to the topics presented
- Small group discussions (with food provided) during which all attendees will be encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas about what was discussed and how to bring this knowledge back to your peers.
The program is designed for teens. Parents, caregivers and other adults are welcome to attend. The small group discussions will be limited to teens; adults will have an opportunity to engage with one another during this portion.
Pizza and snacks will be served.
If you have any questions, please contact Jacob.
