  • HUMMINGBIRD FUELS RIDE CAMP 2027

    Release, Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement

    By registering for, attending, or participating in any capacity in the Hummingbird Fuels Ride Camp (January 15–18, 2027, Calabasas, California), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

    1. Acknowledgment of Risk

    I understand and acknowledge that cycling and outdoor endurance activities are inherently dangerous and involve significant risks including but not limited to: falls, collisions with vehicles or other cyclists, road hazards, adverse weather conditions, physical exhaustion, dehydration, equipment failure, actions or inactions of other participants, and other risks associated with outdoor athletic activity. These risks may result in serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death.

    2. Assumption of Risk

    I voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with my participation in the Hummingbird Fuels Ride Camp, whether or not such risks are foreseeable at this time. I confirm that I am physically capable of participating and that there are no medical conditions, injuries, or circumstances that would prevent me from safely engaging in cycling activities. I will not participate while under the influence of alcohol or any substance that may impair my ability to ride safely.

    3. Release of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue Hummingbird Fuels Inc., its founders, owners, directors, administrators, agents, officers, volunteers, employees, sponsors, and affiliates (collectively the "Releasees") from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, or liability of any kind arising from my participation in the event, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, including claims arising before, during, or after the event.

    4. Indemnification

    I further agree that if, despite this Agreement, I or anyone on my behalf makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless each of the Releasees from any litigation expenses, attorney fees, loss, liability, damage, or cost which any may incur as a result of such claim.

    5. Personal Responsibility

    I am solely responsible for my own safety, fitness, equipment, and actions at all times during the event. I will wear a helmet throughout all cycling activities. I will obey all applicable traffic laws. I will follow all safety guidelines provided by Hummingbird Fuels administrators and volunteers. I understand this is a drop ride — there is no sweep vehicle and I must be self-sufficient at all times.

    6. Photo and Media Release

    I grant Hummingbird Fuels Inc. and its administrators permission to use photographs, videos, or other recordings of my participation in the Ride Camp for promotional purposes including social media, email newsletters, website use, and press coverage. I may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting lisa@hummingbirdfuels.com, though this will not affect prior use. This release does not grant rights to sell my image to unaffiliated third parties for commercial purposes without additional written consent.

    7. Age Confirmation

    I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older. If I am under 18, this Agreement must be signed by a parent or legal guardian who agrees to bind themselves and the minor to all terms herein.

    8. Governing Law

    This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

    9. Severability

    If any portion of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

    10. Entire Agreement

    This Agreement represents the complete and final agreement between the parties regarding liability for participation in the Hummingbird Fuels Ride Camp 2027. It supersedes any prior oral or written representations.
