Welcome to the Women’s Ministry Leadership Conference Prayer Ministry
In our prayer rooms, which we call “Blessing Rooms,” we usually don’t even share requests; instead, we simply tap into God’s Spirit together to guide our prayer time (1 Cor 14:3–4, 29– 33, 39). Our goal is to share uplifting words of encouragement directly from God; words that align with Scripture and are specific to each heart.
What to Expect
You'll have 10-12 minutes in the prayer room with Helyn. It is important to stay on schedule so as not to rob people down the line.
- Helyn's been praying with women for decades and you'll just love her!
- She'll begin by inviting God to bless and speak in your hearts, followed by 60-90 seconds of silent, listening prayer.
- She'll share any Scriptures, pictures, thoughts, or impressions that come to her mind, saying things like, “I have a sense...” or “I felt prompted to pray for….”
- You'll have time to share what you heard or understood directly, through the Scriptures, or through Helyn's words.
- She'll close with by asking something like, “Did any of that particularly stand out to you?” or “Did any of that feel meaningful or especially timely?”
- Engage at your own comfort level. We love you!
We’ll release you on time to honor the next participant, and so you can rejoin the main group.
If this is a new concept for you, don’t worry! You’ll love it and leave feeling blessed by God. And, don’t worry about the time: Spirit works just as well on a schedule as without one. Consider the precise timing of sunrises and sunsets. God delights in speaking with us in the minutes we’ve got.
What Will Not Happen
- You will not be touched without your permission. If you grant permission, Helyn will only touch your shoulders or head. If you initiate a hug, we’ll gladly reciprocate.
- You will be prayed for with gentleness and kindness.
- Imagine Jesus talking with someone–it’ll feel like that.
There will be no pressure for you to pray out loud, speak in tongues, or anything like that. Simply come and enjoy this beautiful prayer time.
