RACE RULES AND REGULATIONS
Eligibility Criteria

✅ All existing 2 year old RK Riders are eligible to join.

✅ All existing RK Riders (3yo - 6yo) who are not Elite Podium Finishers from Wings of Speed Series 1 & 2.

✅ New RK Riders are welcome to join!

✅ All novice and beginner riders are welcome to participate!

Age Category Rules
1. Open to children ages 2 to 6 years old.
2. Race categories will be determined by birth date. Riders must register in their assigned age category.
3. A competitor may choose to "race up' in an older category. Racing in a younger age category (race down) is strictly prohibited.
4. Quota for each category will be determined by the number of riders and race format. The organizers reserves the right to adjust the quota accordingly.
5. For category with pointing system, tie breaker are determined based on the final heat ranking. Whoever rank the highest will be the declared winner.
Bike Specification Regulation
1. Race is open to all brands of balance bikes.
2. Only balance bikes with 12" wheel sizes are permitted in the race.
3. Each rider must have their own balance bike. Bike sharing is strictly not allowed.
4. Handlebar length must not exceed 460mm from end to end.
5. Axles must not extend more than 20mm beyond the fork.
Riders Attire Safety Regulation
1. Riders must wear a top and bottom with closed shoes. Slippers and sandals are prohibited. Wearing sleeveless jerseys/tops are discouraged.
2. Safety gears are required. All riders are required to wear elbow and knee pads, along with a properly fitted helmet that meets safety standards. Full face helmet is highly encouraged.
3. Failure to comply any of these safety attire will not be allowed to participate in the race.
Race Technical Regulations and Penalty Points
1. No official RK Race Plate, No Race. A charge of Php200.00 to use a temporary RK Race Plate. Upon return, a Php100.00 will be refunded.
2. No parents or guardians are allowed on track during the race.
3. No parents or guardians are allowed at the starting gate and finish line.
4. The finish line is considered reached when the bike's front tire crosses it while being ridden.
5. Riders who fail to run in the qualifying round will not be allowed to participate in subsequent round/s.
6. Riders must follow the event rules and avoid reckless riding that could put themselves or others at risk.
  1. Any behaviour that disrupts the race will be considered a violation and may result in disciplinary action.
  2. This includes any violations committed for the rider's advantage.
7. These rules apply only to riders in Categories 4 Years Old and Above.
  1. During the race countdown at the starting gate, riders must ensure their balance bikes maintain “3-point contact” before the gate starts moving to open, as illustrated in the last diagram. The first three diagrams show examples of incorrect bike positioning that will be considered fouls.
  2. To prevent riders from cutting across lanes at the start, a safety zone is established from the starting gate. Riders are only allowed to change lanes after clearing this safety zone. The track will be marked with colored adhesive tape to clearly indicate these safety zone lanes.
  3. At the starting gate, riders must glide strictly within their designated safety zones. Crossing into another lane and causing a collision or forcing another rider to fall will be considered a foul, resulting in the disqualification of the rider’s result for that round. The rankings of the remaining riders will be adjusted accordingly
  4. Weaving on a straight is prohibited. A leading rider may make one defensive lane change if clearly ahead; multiple lane changes that impede or block a chasing rider will incur a 5-place grid penalty.
  5. Deliberately bumping or striking cones or cone connectors to gain an advantage—especially during turns or high-intensity race situations—is not allowed and will result in a penalty. If a cone is hit accidentally and no advantage is gained, or due to racing incident contact with other rider/s , the final decision will be at the discretion of the race officials.
  6. Riders are free to race approaching a corner if within 4 meters before the corner, the chasing rider's front wheel axle is aligned with the leading rider's rear wheel axle. A penalty will be imposed if this criteria is not met during race corner battles.
8. Penalty Points:
  If a misconduct was performed against any of item #7, a warning card will be handed to the rider. Penalties are cumulative for the whole event day.
  
  Do take note that if misconduct was performed during Final round, no warning will be given even there is no cumulative penalty. A 3-rank down penalty will be awarded. If there is a cumulative penalty, the number of penalty count shall take precedence.
  1. 1st Offense - Will be given a written strict warning and informed that penalty will be applied for future misconduct.
  2. 2nd Offense - Will be handed 3-rank down.
  3. 3rd Offense - Will be ranked last.

2. During this event, I will follow all rules, regulations, decisions and guidance set by the Organizers.
3. I accept full responsibility for any such injuries or damages which may occur to parent or participant on or about the premises. I assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages or losses which may occur to parent or participant, and releases the Organizers, Property Owners and event staffs from any claims and/or damages.
4. I permit free use of images and videos taken by the event organizers and media staff for publicity and advertisements and will not claim any rights, such as personal portrait rights, to refuse publicity of these photographs, all in accordance with REPUBLIC ACT 10173 DATA PRIVACY ACT OF 2012
5. In any circumstances, I may only claim refunds if I notified the Organizers (thru RK Runbike FB Page only) within this period:
  1. Registration Form is still open = 100% of total registration fee
  2. After Registration Form was closed and more than 24 hours before event starts = 50% of total registration fee
  3. Less than 24 hours before event starts = NO REFUND
6. Refund fees will be transferred to participant/s within 3 days after the event day conclusion.
7. If the event is cancelled or changed due to natural disasters, incidents, or accidents, I understand and agree that the participation fee will not be refunded.
8. During this event, I will be responsible for personal belongings, and I understand that organizers of the events, other participants, or event staffs will not be held accountable for any loss or damage of these belongings.
9. I am aware about the physical demands and constraints in participating on this event. And, I will check my child’s body temperature in the morning of the event day and will not allow him/her to participate in the event in case of fever, other health issues and/or not felling well.
