Geology of the James Professional Learning Workshop

Journey down the James and learn more about the history and structure of the land beneath it! Try your hand at 3 different, SOL-aligned, hands-on activities to help your students learn more about the geology of Virginia. Participants get a custom map and a rock sample kit of real rocks and fossils from the banks of the James River.
