GWCC's Board is an active Governance Board responsible for providing strategic leadership, organizational oversight, and stewardship of the Chamber. Board service is a three-year leadership commitment to the Chamber, its membership, and its mission.

Completed applications will be reviewed by the Nominating & Governance Committee as part of the candidate selection process. Eligible candidates will be considered for inclusion on the recommended slate of candidates presented to the Board of Directors for approval.

The final approved slate is presented to eligible GWCC members for election.

I understand that the full Board currently meets quarterly and that Directors are required to attend and prepare for all full Board meetings.
I am willing to actively serve on or chair at least one Chamber committee.
I understand that Directors are expected to remain visible and engaged through Chamber meetings, programs, events, and other opportunities throughout the year.
I am willing to support GWCC membership recruitment and retention, relationship development, sponsorship and fundraising efforts, and promotion of Chamber programs and opportunities.
I understand that Board members are expected to actively support the Board's annual end-of-year raffle, including collective responsibility for prize solicitation and support for raffle promotion and ticket sales.
I understand the distinction between the Board's governance responsibilities and the CEO and staff's responsibility for managing Chamber operations.
I am able and willing to devote the time, preparation, participation, and follow-through necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of Board service.
I understand that newly elected Directors are required to participate in Board orientation.
