Actively Engaged Athlete Recommendation (see qualification requirements below and check the box if qualified)
Qualification for Actively Engaged Athlete Recommendation: An individual must have actively competed as a rider, driver, or handler within the 24 months prior to election in a qualifying FEI event, USEF National Championship, or National Championship sanctioned by a USEF Recognized Affiliate; horse ownership or service as an official, volunteer, or employee alone does not qualify.

Committee Expectations
Review and consider proposed competition rules and standards affecting American Saddlebred classes.
Assist the USEF Board in developing, recommending, and submitting standards for the conduct of competitions and American Saddlebred classes.
Identify and provide input on proposed rule changes, including changes not endorsed by ASHBA as the recognized national affiliate.
Provide breed-specific knowledge and advice on other issues in the American Saddlebred division.
Attend and actively participate in committee meetings as necessary throughout the year, in person or by telephone or other remote means.
Review meeting materials and come prepared to participate in discussions and decisions.
Ongoing commitment required, and under the USEF Committee Charter, a member who attends less than 50% of committee meetings during a calendar year may be removed from the committee.
By completing this form, you are asking to be considered for a two-year term on the USEF American Saddlebred Committee, beginning March 1, 2027 and ending February 28, 2029. I confirm that I have read and understand the committee expectations.
