We’re excited to bring back Treat Street, Downtown Chico’s annual Halloween tradition!
This year, we’re taking Treat Street to the next level and turning Downtown Chico into a family-friendly Halloween festival! Downtown streets will be closed to traffic, creating a safe and festive space where families can trick-or-treat, play games, enjoy entertainment, and explore everything Downtown Chico has to offer.
We’re inviting local businesses, organizations, and community partners to join us and help make Treat Street an unforgettable experience for kids and families.
🎃 WE WANT YOUR BOOTH TO BE AN EXPERIENCE!
We’re asking every participating business and vendor to offer an activity, game, craft, interactive experience, or other fun Halloween activity for kids at your booth.
Think beyond handing out candy! We want kids to have a reason to stop at your booth, participate, play, create, and have fun.
Ideas could include:
🕷️ Halloween games
🎨 Crafts or coloring
👻 Spin-the-wheel games
🎃 Pumpkin-themed activities
🧙 Halloween trivia
🎯 Ring toss or other carnival-style games
🖌️ Face painting
📸 Photo opportunities
🍬 Candy challenges
🎭 Costume activities
✨ Make-and-take projects
🎪 Any creative, kid-friendly Halloween experience you can dream up!
Vendors are welcome to hand out candy as part of their experience, but the goal is for every booth to have something interactive for children to do.
PARTICIPATION DETAILS
• Participation Fees: $50 for nonprofit organizations | $100 for for-profit businesses
• Participants are responsible for providing their own event supplies, including tables, chairs, canopies, decorations, activity materials, and any other supplies needed for your booth. Six-foot tables are preferred.
• Activity Requirement: Each participating booth should provide a kid-friendly activity, game, craft, or interactive experience.
• If you are already partnering with a Downtown Chico business, the participation fee does not apply. However, please still complete the application so we can include your information in event planning and promotions.
• If you plan to bring larger items, displays, games, or activities that require additional space, please include those details in the “Describe your offerings” and “Approximate square footage” sections of the application so our team can plan accordingly.
• Please note that there is no guarantee all applicants will be selected, but we will do our best to accommodate as many participating businesses and organizations as possible.
• Event details, including the event map, booth locations, street closures, and itinerary, will be provided to confirmed participants closer to the event date.
Treat Street is more than trick-or-treating, it’s a Halloween festival for our community, and we need our local businesses and organizations to help bring it to life!
Bring your creativity. Bring your Halloween spirit. Most importantly, bring something fun for the kids! 🎃👻
