2027 TOP LAWYERS UNDER 40 AWARDS

Eligibility Criteria
As of the date of nomination, each nominee must:
- Be an HNBA member in good standing.
- Be a duly licensed attorney in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Have no disciplinary action pending or adjudicated against them.
- Be under 40 years of age as of March 13, 2027.
- Must be present during the Awards Ceremony at CCC to receive the award.
The nominator (the person submitting the nomination) must also be an HNBA member in good standing on the date the nomination is made.

Note: Self-nominations will not be considered. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Submission Information
To be considered, all nomination forms and supporting materials must be submitted by 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday, December 2, 2026. The HNBA will not consider nominations or supporting materials received after that date and will not consider submissions with respect to a nominee or nominator with an inactive membership. Please submit only one nomination per candidate. One nomination per nominee is preferred. Nominators may nominate more than one person.

Selection Process
The HNBA National Awards Committee will review all nominations and will make recommendation of the award recipients to the HNBA Executive Committee. Award recipients will be announced in early January. There is no fixed limit to the number of award recipients. Awards will be presented during the 2027 HNBA/VIA Corporate Counsel Conference. Award recipients will be profiled on the HNBA website and in other HNBA publications.
