  • FIRST GRADE CO-TEACHER
    PCAT Literacy Ministries | Ruskin Elementary School

    Help young learners build the foundation for a lifetime of reading success.

    PCAT Literacy Ministries is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Co-Teacher to support our kindergarten literacy program at Ruskin Elementary School.

    Working alongside the Lead Teacher, you'll help deliver engaging educational activities, provide individualized reading support, and create a positive learning environment where children can develop essential literacy skills and confidence.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering daily literacy instruction and educational activities.
    Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring to kindergarten students.
    Assist with lesson preparation, classroom setup, and instructional materials.
    Help coordinate Program Assistants and volunteers.
    Maintain a safe, encouraging, and organized learning environment.
    Support student supervision, daily transitions, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
    Assist with family engagement and communication.
    Collaborate with program leadership to document student progress and support learning goals.


    Ideal Candidate

    We’re looking for a caring, dependable educator who enjoys working with young children, communicates effectively, and is passionate about helping students succeed.

    A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of an associate’s degree with relevant teaching experience.

    Experience in elementary education, classroom instruction, literacy intervention, or tutoring is highly valued. Retired educators and former teachers are encouraged to apply. Current teaching certification is not required.

  • PROGRAM ASSISTANT
    PCAT Literacy Ministries

    PCAT Literacy Ministries is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Program Assistant to support our elementary literacy program at Sulphur Springs.

    This hands-on position works closely with teachers and program staff to create a welcoming, organized learning environment where children receive the encouragement and academic support they need to grow.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assist teachers with daily literacy instruction and educational activities.
    Provide individual and small-group learning support to students.
    Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom activities.
    Help supervise students and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
    Support daily routines, student transitions, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
    Encourage student participation, positive behavior, and engagement.
    Assist with family engagement and program documentation.
    Collaborate with teachers and program leadership to support student success.

    Experience in education, tutoring, childcare, or youth development is preferred.

    PCAT Literacy Ministries is seeking a compassionate, skilled Intervention Coach to provide individualized academic support to elementary students who need additional assistance mastering foundational learning skills.

    Working alongside the Education Coordinator and instructional team, you'll help students strengthen their understanding, develop confidence, and make meaningful academic progress through targeted instruction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide individualized academic instruction to students who need additional learning support.
    Work with students one-on-one or in very small groups to strengthen foundational skills.
    Collaborate with instructional staff to identify learning needs and implement targeted interventions.
    Prepare and adapt instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
    Monitor student progress and document learning outcomes.
    Support students as they build the skills needed to return successfully to small-group instruction.
    Assist with classroom activities, student supervision, and daily transitions.
    Participate in staff meetings, student assessments, and instructional planning.

    We’re looking for a patient, resourceful, and supportive educator who understands that students learn at different rates and may need individualized approaches to succeed.

    A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of an associate’s degree with relevant teaching or instructional experience.

    Experience in academic intervention, individualized instruction, elementary education, or supporting students with diverse learning needs is highly valued. Retired educators and former teachers are encouraged to apply.
