Temari Hawaii invites you to a morning of food and creative conversation. Bring a dish to share and wander through a gallery of work from our past workshops: kanzashi fabric flowers, kimono fabric remade into bags, tops, and scarves, and hand-bound books.
Over coffee and good food, our founder, Ann Asakura will share how Temari Hawaii began, what we’ve made along the way, and where we’re headed. Beginners and curious newcomers are especially welcome.
This is the heart of the morning: what do you want to learn in 2027? Maybe it’s a class you missed, or something we’ve never offered. Share your ideas, and we’ll record every one. If your idea becomes a workshop, your class fee is waived.
At Temari Hawaii, we believe cultural arts are not limited to your own culture. Hawaii is a place where many traditions meet, and that’s a rare chance to learn from one another.
Come hungry. Come curious. Come as you are.
