  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2026 H-E-B Feast of Sharing being held here in Harlingen on Tuesday, November 17th at the Harlingen Convention Center. United Way of Northern Cameron County is grateful for your willingness to help make this special community event a success.

    Please complete the registration below based on who is registering:

    Individual Adult Volunteers: Select individual registration, provide your contact information, and request your preferred volunteer task and shift.

    Adult Volunteer Groups: Select adult group registration and provide your organization’s contact information, group leader details, and the total number of volunteers in your group. You may request preferred tasks and shifts based on your group’s interests and availability.

    School & Youth Groups: Select school/youth group registration and provide your school or organization information, group leader contact details, and the number of students participating. Youth groups may register up to 20 students per group and must select from the designated youth volunteer shifts. An adult leader must supervise the group throughout the shift.

    Before You RegisterPlease provide accurate contact information and volunteer headcounts. Select the task and shift that best fit your availability and interests. Review the arrival instructions and participation guidelines for your registration type. If your preferred shift is full, you may request to be placed on the waiting list.

    Important: One Shift Per Volunteer

    To give as many people as possible the opportunity to serve, each volunteer may register for one shift only. Please select the single shift that best fits your availability. Registering for multiple shifts for the same volunteer is not permitted.

    For group registrations, please select the requested shift or shifts for your group and indicate the number of volunteers assigned to each shift. Each individual volunteer may participate in only one shift.  If we get closer to the event and we still have shifts available, you will be contacted by United Way to see if you would like to add more shifts.

    Please note: All volunteer shift requests are subject to availability and approval by United Way of Northern Cameron County. Submitting this form does not guarantee a spot or confirm your assignment. You will need to receive direct confirmation from United Way before considering your shift scheduled.

  • School/Youth Groups

    School and youth groups may register up to 20 students per group and may request one of the four designated youth volunteer shifts. Shifts are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

    If your preferred shift is full, you may request to be placed on the waiting list. Joining the waiting list does not guarantee a spot; if a space becomes available, United Way will contact you.

    Please select only one of the four shifts designated for school/youth groups. Groups may not register for adult volunteer shifts.

    Arrival and participation guidelines: Groups need arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled shift. For example, volunteers assigned to the 10:45–11:30 a.m. shift should arrive by 10:30 a.m. Groups must arrive together before entering the facility and must leave the volunteer area promptly at the end of their shift so the next group can begin. All participating groups will be invited to join us for lunch after their shift.

    Adult volunteer groups may request tasks and shifts on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability and organizer approval. To register your group, select your preferred task and shift(s) and indicate the number of volunteers requested for each shift. You must also provide the total number of volunteers in your group.

    Important: All shift selections are requests only and are not confirmed reservations. Your group is not scheduled until you receive direct confirmation from United Way of Northern Cameron County. Requests may be adjusted or declined based on available capacity and event staffing needs.

    If your preferred shift is full, you may request to be placed on the waiting list. Placement on the waiting list does not guarantee a volunteer assignment. If space becomes available, United Way will contact you.

    Arrival and Participation Guidelines

    Approved groups must arrive 15 minutes before their confirmed shift and check in together before entering the volunteer area. For example, volunteers assigned to the 10:45–11:30 a.m. shift must arrive by 10:30 a.m. Groups must arrive together and leave the volunteer area promptly at the end of their assigned shift so the next group can begin.

    Volunteers will be invited to enjoy lunch when available and as event operations permit. Please follow the instructions provided with your confirmed assignment.

    Submitting this registration does not guarantee a volunteer assignment or reserve a place for your group. All task and shift requests are subject to review and approval by United Way of Northern Cameron County based on staffing needs and available capacity.

    Please do not consider your registration confirmed until you have received direct confirmation from United Way. Do not arrive for a requested shift without confirmation of your assignment.

    United Way reserves the right to adjust or decline requests to ensure appropriate staffing levels, volunteer safety, and event capacity. If your preferred shift cannot be accommodated, United Way may contact you regarding an alternative assignment.
