The Lincoln City Fellowship NYC Residency is designed for artists actively developing a specific creative project and seeking thoughtful input at a meaningful point in the process. The experience offers time, space, and a trusted cohort of creative peers to deepen ideas, test possibilities, refine questions, and discover what the work may be asking for next.
Part I — Virtual Residency (January - February, 2027)
Beginning the week of January 4, the cohort meets for eight weekly one-hour virtual sessions to build connection and establish a shared foundation for the experience ahead.
Each artist receives dedicated time to introduce their project, share where they are in the process, and identify the questions they want to explore more deeply with the cohort in New York.
Part II — In-Person Retreat (March 1-6, 2027)
In New York, each artist receives a dedicated development session with the full cohort, creating space for thoughtful inquiry, tailored feedback, and generative dialogue around their evolving project.
Beyond these sessions, the retreat includes:
- five nights of private NYC hotel accommodations
- select shared meals & arts experiences
- unstructured time to explore the city
- a $1,500 stipend to support travel, incidentals, and participation
This cohort is limited to 8 artists.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM Pacific Time on November 30.
