  • Section 5 - About the Training

  • A) The training is fully funded and worth thousands of pounds per trainee, so there's no cost to you. It runs for 6 to 7 weeks, depending on the role you have applied to, and we’re not able to offer any additional financial support during that time.

You may be eligible to apply for a TV diversity bursary through ScreenSkills, although bursaries aren’t guaranteed and funds may not arrive before the training starts. If you receive benefits and are supported by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), you may also be able to have your travel expenses covered.

How do you plan to support yourself financially while you’re on the training? For example, you might be receiving benefits, living with family, or using savings. There’s no wrong answer. We just want to make sure you’ve thought this through and can commit to the training.

  • C) The core training runs Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm. There may be additional filming requirements outside of these hours, including evenings and weekends. Participants are expected to be flexible and attend every day. Are you available to commit to the training full time?*
  • D) What is the role you would like to apply for?*
