  • Join us at the Payments Leaders Forum 2026, co-hosted by the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), for important announcements, updates and a Spotlight on Singapore’s Future Financial Infrastructure.

As Singapore’s payments ecosystem evolves, the next phase of growth will depend on how traditional banking infrastructure, emerging payment rails and new forms of digital money connect and scale. The SFA Payments Leaders Forum 2026 will bring together industry leaders to explore how these developments are shaping the future of payments and financial infrastructure in Singapore.

The forum will feature a fireside chat by SPaN, a not-for-profit entity set up by the MAS and the Association of Banks in Singapore to administer and govern Singapore’s national payment schemes - where newly appointed CEO, Mr. Derek Chan, will share his vision for SpaN, in conversation with Mr. Chek-Tchung Foo, Project Director.

This will be followed by a panel discussion titled "Integrating New Payment Rails into Singapore’s Future Financial Infrastructure". Discussions will examine the evolution of account-to-account (A2A) and real-time payments, domestic and cross-border interoperability, and the role of stablecoins, tokenised deposits and traditional bank money in the future of money and settlement. The session will also explore how embedded payments and AI-driven agentic commerce are transforming the way businesses and consumers transact.

Agenda (4pm to 6pm, Registration begins at 3.45pm):

    1. Welcome speech by Ms. Holly Fang, President, SFA
    2. Keynote speech by Guest-of-Honour Mr. Kenneth Gay, Chief FinTech Officer, MAS
    3. Update by Chairs of SFA Payments Subcommittee
    4. Regulatory Overview by Ms. Rosemary Lim, Executive Director, Payments Department, MAS
    5. Fireside Chat on SPaN's strategic direction and vision (Mr Derek Chan, CEO, SPaN and Chek-Tchung Foo, Project Director, SPaN)
    6. Panel Discussion: Integrating New Payment Rails into Singapore's Future Financial Infrastructure
    7. Networking

Bringing together senior representatives from payment service providers, banks, and FinTechs, the forum aims to move beyond experimentation to address the practical challenges of implementation and scale, while fostering dialogue on regulatory developments and their implications for the industry.

Join us for an engaging exchange of perspectives on how collaboration, innovation and infrastructure alignment can support a trusted, efficient and future-ready payments ecosystem for Singapore.
