A very warm welcome to Sensory Stay & Play by Play & Beyond!

At The Lakes Raffles Early Childhood Centre

Sensory Stay & Play is a relaxed outdoor space where children can explore, experiment and get wonderfully messy at their own pace. There is no agenda and no pressure, just the freedom to play, discover and connect.

It's also a lovely opportunity for parents and caregivers to slow down, meet other families and enjoy time together while the children explore.

When: Mondays, 9:30am to 11:30am

Age: Confident crawlers to 4 years and beyond

What to Bring

Messy clothes and swim nappies: Please dress yourself and your child for messy and water play. Clothes may get wet, dirty or permanently stained. Swim nappies are essential for little ones who still wear nappies. A spare change of clothes is always a good idea.

Shoes: Bring comfortable shoes that can get wet and are easy to slip on and off. Water shoes are ideal for our outdoor areas.

Snacks and water: Bring a water bottle and your favourite snacks for yourself and your child. For everyone's safety, children must be seated while eating or drinking. We have a designated snack area for this.

Hot drinks: Please enjoy coffee, tea and other drinks outside the nursery. Only water is permitted within the nursery premises.

Mosquito repellent: Our outdoor space is surrounded by plants so you're welcome to apply your preferred child friendly mosquito repellent before arriving.

A Few Things to Know
Stay and explore together

Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult throughout the session. Please stay close enough to support your child when needed while allowing them the freedom to explore, discover and take appropriate risks.

Our play spaces

Please remain within the designated Stay & Play areas and help us look after the resources and environment so everyone can enjoy them.

Photographs and videos

I love capturing little moments of discovery to share the magic of play with our community. Photos and videos are taken and shared in accordance with the consent you provide during registration.

You're welcome to photograph your own child but please be mindful of other families and respect their privacy.

I also encourage parents to put their phones away whenever possible and enjoy being present with their children.

Session Fees and Booking
AED 130 per child for two hours of sensory play.

What about siblings?

I absolutely love welcoming siblings to play together! As Play & Beyond is still a small and growing business, every session involves a great deal of preparation, resources and time to create the experiences your children enjoy. For now, I'm unable to offer sibling discounts and the same fee applies to each participating child. Thank you for understanding and supporting what I'm building.

Booking and payment

All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance. Each booking is valid only for the selected date and a new booking is required for each session you'd like to attend.

Booking & Cancellation Policy: Please note that all bookings are final once confirmed. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for any family-related cancellation; including illness, absence, change of plans or non-attendance. If Play & Beyond (Agathe Jameson) needs to cancel or reschedule a Sensory Stay & Play session, families will be offered an alternative date or a refund.

Half Term Sensory Stay & Play: For Monday 12 and Wednesday 14 October, we are welcoming older siblings of any age who enjoy sensory and messy play.All children must remain actively supervised by an accompanying adult throughout the session, regardless of age. If bringing more than one child, please make sure you have enough adult support to safely supervise everyone.

Half Term New Timings: For Monday 12 and Wednesday 14 October, Sensory Stay & Play will run from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. Please note that this is different from our usual 9.00 am to 11.00 am timing.

Social Media Consent: I understand that during Sensory Stay & Play sessions, photos and short videos will be taken for Play & Beyond social media and promotional use. As these sessions are optional, by choosing to attend I consent that my child and any accompanying adult(s) will appear in these images or recordings.

Health and Safety: Do you or your child have any allergies, food intolerances or medical condition that we need to be aware of?

I will remember to bring the following:

Cloths: During October, our sensory play involves lots of water, so swimsuits, onesies and swim nappies for little ones are required. As the weather cools, our sensory play will naturally become drier. I understand that Sensory Stay & Play encourages messy, head to toe exploration including paint, mud, water and other materials and that clothing worn by both children and adults may become dirty or permanently stained. I will make sure we arrive dressed ready for messy play.

I understand that Sensory Stay & Play at Raffles Early Childhood Centre is open from 9.30am to 11.30am. We can arrive at any time during the session and understand that the session finishes at 11.25am regardless of our arrival time.
