    About the assignmentBrookfox Technologies is recruiting two short-term experts for a mixed-methods survey of adolescent girls' access to menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) products in 11 Kenyan counties (Nairobi, Homa Bay, Turkana, Garissa, Kitui, Embu, Nyeri, Bungoma, Nakuru, Kilifi and Baringo), commissioned by an international development partner. The survey will reach about 2,200 girls aged 10 to 19, in and out of school, together with schools, households, retailers and government supply chains, and will inform national and county MHM policy. The assignment runs for about six months from contract signature, expected November 2026. Engagement is subject to contract award.Position 1: Senior MHM Technical Advisor (home-based)Senior peer review of the inception report, survey tools, analysis plan and final report, ensuring alignment with MICS, JMP and Global MHH indicators and adolescent research ethics. Requires a PhD or equivalent, 10+ years of menstrual health, adolescent SRH, WASH or gender research, and peer-reviewed MHM publications, ideally in East Africa.Position 2: MHM and Gender Specialist / Safeguarding Focal Person (Nairobi with county travel)Leads MHM, gender and social norms content of tools, the safeguarding and PSEA protocol, field team training, qualitative supervision, and the MHM and gender report chapters and policy brief.
