Growing in Faith. Leading through Worship.

The Hill School’s Upper Elementary Praise Team gives students the opportunity to grow as worship leaders and serve our school community. Through student-led worship, students learn to use their voices, gifts, and example to encourage others and honor God.

    Learning to Lead

Praise Team members practice three times each week and lead morning chapel five days per week. They teach the entire school new worship songs and help their classmates participate confidently in worship. Along the way, students develop teamwork, responsibility, and confidence while learning that leadership begins with a heart for serving others.

    Starting Each Morning with Purpose

During daily morning chapel, our Praise Team leads the student body in:

    • Worship songs
    • Morning prayer
    • The Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag
    • The pledge to the Christian Flag
    • The pledge to the Bible

These daily opportunities allow our upper elementary students to model respectful participation and help set a thoughtful, faith-centered tone for the school day.

    More Than a Performance

Praise Team is about helping others draw closer to God through worship, prayer, and a daily example of faith. We want students to understand the words they sing, the prayers they offer, and the responsibility of leading others.

As part of The Hill School’s commitment to Matthew 5:14–16, our Praise Team encourages students to let their light shine—using their gifts to serve, encourage, and point others toward Jesus.
