1. Tax Preparation Fee Is Still Owed
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge and agree that my tax preparation fee is owed regardless of whether I receive a tax refund, owe taxes to the IRS or state, receive a paper check, receive a direct deposit, or do not receive a refund. If my tax preparation fee was intended to be paid through a tax refund product and the fee is not successfully collected through that process, I remain responsible for paying the full unpaid balance.

2. Paper Checks and Refunds
If I receive a paper check directly from the IRS or another taxing authority and Luxe Path Tax Solutions does not receive its tax preparation fee through the authorized refund-processing system, I understand that my tax preparation fee remains due. Receiving my refund by paper check does not cancel, waive, or eliminate my responsibility to pay the tax preparation fee.

3. Understanding the Tax Bank / Refund Processing Accounts
I understand that my tax documents may show more than one bank account or account number when a refund-processing product is used. One account may be my personal bank account, while another may be an account associated with the tax refund processing service, such as Refund Advantage. I agree that the appearance of these account numbers does not mean that my refund has been lost, stolen, or incorrectly processed.

4. Authorization to Collect an Unpaid Fee
If my tax preparation fee is not successfully collected through the authorized refund-processing system, I agree that Luxe Path Tax Solutions may contact me regarding the unpaid balance and may attempt to collect the amount owed using the payment information and/or bank account information that I have lawfully provided for payment purposes, subject to applicable law and authorization requirements. I understand that an attempted withdrawal may fail because of insufficient funds, an incorrect account number, a closed account, a bank restriction, or another reason. If a payment attempt is unsuccessful, I remain responsible for the outstanding balance.

5. Responsibility for Payment
I agree to promptly pay any outstanding tax preparation fee if it is not collected through the refund-processing system. I understand that Luxe Path Tax Solutions may provide me with a payment request, invoice, or other notice regarding an unpaid balance.

6. Tax Return Accuracy and Amendments
I understand that any amended tax return must be prepared and filed only when there is a legitimate tax-related reason for an amendment and must accurately reflect my tax information. I understand that failure to pay a tax preparation fee does not authorize anyone to submit false or inaccurate information on my tax return. If an amendment is appropriate or necessary for a legitimate tax-related reason, I understand that I may remain responsible for any applicable tax preparation fees associated with that service.

7. No Waiver of Fee
I understand that failure of a refund product, refund-transfer service, bank product, direct deposit, or other payment method to successfully deliver the tax preparation fee does not waive the fee. The tax preparation service was provided to me, and I remain responsible for any unpaid amount.

8. Client Acknowledgment
By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understand this agreement; understand that my tax preparation fee remains due if it is not successfully collected through the refund-processing system; understand that receiving a paper check does not eliminate my obligation to pay my tax preparation fee; understand why more than one account number may appear on documents associated with my tax return; understand that I am responsible for paying any unpaid tax preparation balance;

understand that any amendment must be based on a legitimate tax-related reason and accurate tax information; and agree to the terms of this acknowledgment.

By completing the required fields and signing this acknowledgment, the taxpayer confirms that the information provided is accurate and that they agree to the terms above.
