  • Saturday, November 7, 2026 10:00am - 11:00am

(Limited Seating, RSVP Required) Wild Birds Unlimited 2150 Contra Costa Boulevard Pleasant Hill, CA 94523
  • About the Talk

Bird journaling is one of the easiest ways to slow down and pay closer attention to the birds you already see. It’s not about perfect drawings or expert identification. It’s about recording what you notice—with words, simple sketches, or both—so the moment stays with you.

In this session, Salman will walk through how to get started, share a handful of practical tips that keep the practice light and enjoyable, and do a short live bird-drawing demo. You’ll see how even the simplest marks on the page can help you observe better and remember more.

Whether you already keep a notebook, want to sketch more, or have never tried either, this is a gentle on-ramp. Bring a notebook and pencil if you have them; curiosity is the only real requirement
