  • Important information about opening a new account

    To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

    What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

    Every membership starts with Share Savings. Add any other accounts you’d like.
    • Share Savings 

    • Your membership account. $25 opens it and keeps your membership active. Your balance earns dividends, and you can borrow against it with a share secured loan. See current rates

    • How will you make your deposit?*

    • We’re at 1705 E. 17th Street in Sheffield, Monday–Friday, 8 to 5. After hours, you can leave a check in our night deposit.

    • Make your check payable to Electrical Workers 558 FCU and mail it to PO Box 806, Sheffield, AL 35660-0806. Include your name and phone number.

    • We’ll call you to set up the transfer. Have your other bank’s routing and account numbers handy.

    • Certificate 

    • Lock in a fixed rate for the full term, from 6 months to 5 years. See certificate rates

    • We’ll confirm the rate with you before we open your certificate. A penalty may apply to early withdrawals.

    Under penalties of perjury, I certify that:

    1. The number shown on this form is my correct taxpayer identification number; and
    2. I am not subject to backup withholding because (a) I am exempt from backup withholding, or (b) I have not been notified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that I am subject to backup withholding as a result of a failure to report all interest or dividends, or (c) the IRS has notified me that I am no longer subject to backup withholding; and

  • Membership agreement

    I hereby make application for membership in and agree to conform to the Bylaws, as amended, of the Electrical Workers 558 Federal Credit Union. The information provided in this application is true and correct, and my signature on this application applies to all accounts under my name at the Credit Union. I also agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of any account that I have in the Credit Union now or in the future. I authorize the Credit Union to verify the information in this application, including with consumer reporting agencies.
