• Indigenous Community Sport Development Grant Application

    South West District Indigenous Youth Sport Initiative
  • South West District, in partnership with Sask Sport, is working to make it easier for Indigenous youth athletes to participate, develop and continue in community sport.

    Does your sport organization or group already have Indigenous youth participating? Would you like to welcome more? Is there a barrier making it harder for Indigenous youth athletes to participate, develop or stay involved? We may be able to help.

    Funding may support new, expanded or enhanced organized sport opportunities, including:

    • sport equipment and resources;
    • qualified coaching or instruction;
    • registration and participation costs;
    • skills development opportunities;
    • facility rental;
    • in-province transportation or travel for eligible sport activities;
    • league or competitive participation; or
    • other eligible costs that help increase, strengthen or sustain Indigenous youth participation in organized sport.

    Funding Amounts: Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000. If your group or club requires less than $500, please contact a South West District Community Consultant to discuss your project.

    The application is short and simple, and South West District staff can help you complete it.
