    Miniature Australian Shepherds
  • Psst... thanks for completing this application! 🐾

At first glance, you might think "sheesh, this is a little long—are all these questions really necessary?" I know, because I thought the exact same thing when we got our first dogs!

Here at Triple Lake Ranch, we hand-raise all of our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies right in our home surrounded by family, the rest of the pack, and all the everyday chaos. We adore every single one of them, and we want to make sure you fall just as head-over-heels in love with your new best friend.

Every family is completely different, and there are no right or wrong answers here. We know many families have two working adults, and we certainly don't expect anyone to quit their day job just to raise a puppy! Every puppy family has unique needs, and this questionnaire simply helps us figure out who needs what information and which home makes the ultimate match.

If you're an experienced herding breed pro, we don't want to bore you with things you already know like the back of your hand. By the same token, if this is your very first rodeo (or your first Mini Aussie), we want to make sure you leave fully prepared for the Velcro-dog, high-IQ adventures life with an Aussie will bring!

So again, thank you so much for taking the time to share a bit about yourself!

    • Triple Lake Ranch Deposit & Pick Policy

We completely understand that bringing home a new family member is an incredibly exciting time! Here is how our pick and visitation process works so everyone is on the same page.

Color & Gender Reservations: Deposits allow you to reserve a specific gender and/or color preference (such as a blue merle female or black tri male) from an upcoming litter.

The Pick List & Deposits: Deposits are $500.00 and secure your spot on our pick list in the order your application is approved.

When Picks Happen: Official puppy picks take place at 7 weeks of age, right after their structured temperament evaluations. This ensures we have all the data on each puppy's personality and drive so we can help match you with the exact right fit for your family and lifestyle. (If you prefer to wait and make your pick in person after visiting, you are more than welcome to schedule a visit starting at 7 weeks—just keep in mind that many litters are fully claimed prior to that age).

Visiting Our Puppies: We completely understand the urge to come snuggle the babies right away! However, in alignment with our visitation policy, we do not allow any visitors until the puppies are 7 weeks of age. This gives mama plenty of uninterrupted time to bond and nurse (since our girls can be fiercely protective of their newborns!), and ensures the puppies have received their crucial early rounds of immune protection.

Weekly Photo & Video Doses: Don't worry, you won't miss a thing while you're waiting! We post weekly updates (at least!) filled with photos and videos so you can watch your future puppy grow week by week. If you ever need an extra video or specific peek at a puppy, just let us know—that can always be arranged!

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding our deposit or visitation policy. We are always here to chat!

    • About Puppy's New Family
    • This is where we find out a little more about the puppy's new home and family. Please remember in most cases there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. This is just a way to get to know you!

    • Please tell us a little about where puppy will live as a puppy (we know circumstances change).

    • Ownership Commitment
    • This is where we want to make sure we are all on the same page, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns!

    • What to expect
    • Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Triple Lake Ranch, but it does not guarantee I'll get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.

If this application is approved, you'll be notified when the puppies are born and be required to send a $500 non-refundable deposit within 7 days in order to hold the puppy of your choice. Please note our deposit policy:  Should you elect to not take the puppy from the litter, the deposit is forfeited. We do the best to match preferences. Deposits are non-refundable.

From time to time we may decide to keep a puppy out of a litter. We reserve the right to hold puppies. This may mean that certain puppies may not be available for a couple weeks while we decide on if we may keep the said puppy or not.

Puppies will go to their new homes at 10 weeks. We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. If for what ever reason you find you do need us to keep for an xtra week or two then the price of the extra time will go up accordingly.  Puppies must be picked up within 5 days unless other written arrangements are made.

We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.

If you purchase "Limited Registration" we require spay/neuter at or before 24 months. Proof of the procedure from your vet is required before we will release the said dog's registration papers.

*We do not allow any puppy to leave our property prior to 8 weeks of age, NO EXCEPTIONS*
