Award Categories & Descriptions
Student Chapter of the Year
— Recognizes a collegiate chapter demonstrating outstanding leadership, member engagement, community outreach and SHPE mission commitment during 2025–2026.
Professional Chapter of the Year
— Honors a professional chapter excelling in mentorship, professional development, community involvement and opportunities for members.
Junior Chapter of the Year
— Recognizes a SHPE Jr. chapter inspiring future STEM leaders through education, outreach, engagement and leadership development.
Student Member of the Year
— Celebrates an undergraduate or graduate student whose leadership, dedication, service and contributions meaningfully impacted their chapter or Region 1.
Professional Member of the Year
— Recognizes a professional going above and beyond in mentorship, leadership, community service and supporting SHPE members and initiatives.
Chapter Advisor of the Year
— Honors an advisor whose guidance, encouragement, advocacy and commitment helped a chapter and its members succeed.
Bomba Legacy Award — SHPE Lifetime Membership
— Distinguished recognition for a professional's sustained dedication, leadership, mentorship and lasting SHPE contributions; intended recipient receives a SHPE Lifetime Membership subject to eligibility and approval.
