  • Program Description & Enrollment

  • The 7-Month Introduction to Fashion Design Training Program provides fashion design education intended to develop foundational knowledge and practical skills through instruction by fashion professionals, studio access, assignments, and applicable educational activities. The program starts on Monday, October 5, 2026, and ends on Tuesday, June 1, 2027. Classes are held weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Students are only required to attend one (1) class session per week. Beginning in November 2026, Open Studio sessions will become available on designated days.

The program originally included twenty-one (21) fashion design classes, advertised as three (3) four-hour classes per month, one (1) Textiles/Fabric Tour for all active students in good academic standing, and one (1) Fashion Educational Trip to Los Angeles for up to five (5) top-performing active students in good academic standing. Following the first week of classes, the Academy revised the instructional schedule from twenty-one (21) to thirty-one (31) fashion design classes to provide students with additional instructional time and support based on faculty recommendations. Under the revised schedule, classes are held weekly, except during designated holiday breaks and other scheduled academic closures. The adjustment increases the total number of fashion design classes from 21 to 31 without increasing the originally established tuition amount. The adjustment provides students with ten (10) additional fashion design classes at no additional tuition cost. All other program components, including the Textiles Tour and the Fashion Educational Trip, remain subject to the Academy's applicable eligibility requirements and scheduling. The student acknowledges the program structure and instructional schedule outlined in this Agreement upon signing.

Students have access to studio equipment, fabrics, class materials, educational resources, and opportunities to apply their skills through projects and other learning experiences. The student acknowledges that successful participation requires consistent attendance, timely assignment completion, professional conduct, and compliance with Academy policies. The student acknowledges that enrollment does not guarantee mastery of a particular skill, a specific grade, professional certification, industry placement, employment, business success, or any other particular outcome.

By enrolling in or continuing participation in the program under the revised schedule, the student acknowledges the updated instructional structure and understands that the Academy may communicate applicable scheduling details and changes through official Academy communications.

  • Tuition & Payment Obligations

  • The student and the financially responsible party (i.e. parent, legal guardian, or financial sponsor) agree to the tuition amount and payment schedule established in the enrollment documentation. The total program tuition is $5,175.00.

Tuition Payment Plan: Students who elect the 9-Month Tuition Payment Plan agree to pay $578 per month for nine (9) consecutive months, for a total scheduled payment of $5,202. Monthly payments are due on the 1st day of each month by 3:00 PM ET.

Initial Payment Requirement: A minimum of two (2) monthly installments, totaling $1,156, must be paid before the student's first day of class. Enrollment and participation are not finalized until this initial payment requirement has been satisfied.

Late Payment Fee: If a scheduled payment remains unpaid after the 3rd day of the month, a one-time late fee equal to 10% of the overdue installment will be applied, subject to applicable law. For a $578 installment, the late fee is $57.80. The late fee is assessed once per overdue installment and will not be repeatedly applied to the same missed payment. The Office of Admissions may send reminders via email and text messages. Students experiencing a billing discrepancy must submit the concern in writing to the Office of Admissions. The office will review good-faith disputes. Raising a dispute does not automatically suspend a payment deadline.

Removal for Nonpayment: If the required payment remains unpaid after the 5th day of the month, the student may be removed from the Program, subject to applicable law and any required notice. Removal does not automatically cancel the student's oustanding tuition balance or other contractual financial obligations under the signed Enrollment Agreement.

Re-enrollment Following Removal: A student removed from the Program for nonpayment must obtain the Academy's approval to return. Re-enrollment is subject to availability, satisfaction of applicable outstanding obligations, and payment of a re-enrollment fee. Re-enrollment is not guaranteed. The re-enrollment fee is separate from outstanding tuition and other properly assessed charges.

Tuition Separation: Tuition obligations are separate from reimbursements, scholarships, optional events, educational trips, placement-related administrative fees, or other transactions. Students may not unilaterally deduct or withhold tuition payments because of a separate reimbursement request, disagreement, or perceived value of another benefit.

  • Program Withdrawal

  • A student's voluntary withdrawal, discontinuation of attendance, failure to participate, or removal from the Program does not automatically release the student or other financially responsible party from the tuition obligations established in the signed Enrollment Agreement. The student or financially responsible party remains liable for the outstanding contractual balance, including remaining installments where enforceable under the agreed payment terms and applicable law.

Delinquent Accounts and Collections: If an oustanding balance remains unpaid, SELF Academy may refer the account to a collection agency or pursue other lawful collection remedies, subject to applicable law and any required notices. SELF Academy may pursue recovery of the outstanding contractual balance and any legally recoverable fees or costs. Withdrawal, removal, or refusal to continue attending classes does not, by itself, eliminate an enforceable financial obligation. Questions or disputes regarding an account must be submitted in writing to the Office of Admissions. Any modification to the payment schedule or oustanding balance must be approved in writing by the Office of Admissions.

  • Refunds & Credits

  • Refund Policy: Tuition and other payments are nonrefundable. The student acknowledges that enrollment involves reserving limited program capacity, allocating instructional resources, and planning faculty and studio operations.

Voluntary Withdrawal: Students who wish to withdraw from the program must submit a written withdrawal request to the Office of Admissions. Stopping attendance, notifying an instructor or staff member informally, failing to submit assignments, or verbally announcing an intention to leave does not automatically consistitute an approved withdrawal or release the student from contractual financial obligations. Outstanding balances and any remaining installments will be handled according to the signed payment agreement, applicable refund terms, and governing law.

Approved Credit: An eligible payment or credit may be transferred to a Class Pass membership instead of being refunded. Any approved transfer must be documented in writing and must state the credit amount, expiration date, eligible services, and applicable restrictions. If the student voluntarily declines or fails to use an approved Class Pass credit before its disclosed expiration date, the credit may be forfeited. A Class Pass credit is not automatic and must be approved by the Office of Admissions in writing.

  • Reinstatement after Removal or Withdrawal

  • A student seeking to return after an approved withdrawal, administrative removal, or suspension must receive written approval from the Office of Admissions. Reinstatement may be subject to an administrative reinstatement fee. Reinstatement is not guaranteed and may depend on available space, academic standing, outstanding balances, and the applicable curriculum. Any existing financial obligations remain.

  • Attendance, Tardiness & Makeup Classes

  • Regular attendance is essential to the student's educational progress. Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and arrive prepared to participate. A 5-minute grace period applies to the scheduled class start time. Students arriving after the grace period may be recorded as tardy and may be subject to the program's attendance procedures. Repeated tardiness may result in a written warning or further disciplinary action.

Missed Classes: Students who miss classes are responsible for reviewing missed material and completing outstanding work. After three (3) missed classes, the Professor may initiate an attendance review and remove the student from the program in accordance with its published attendance policy. Before removal, SELF Academy will provide any notice or opportunity to address the absences required by its policies or law. Any financial consequences of attendance-related removal will be determined under the signed payment agreement agreement.

Makeup Classes: Makeup classes are not guaranteed. Students must receive approval from the Professor(s) before attending a different class session or attending an Office Hour. A missed class will be refunded.

Office Hours: Students may attend Office Hour with their Professor(s) during designated office hours. Office Hours are at the discretion of the Professor and based on Professor's availability.

  • Class Cancellations

  • Classes may be canceled, postponed, relocated, or rescheduled because of inclement weather, faculty illness, facility issues, construction, safety concerns, or other operational circumstances. SELF Academy will make reasonable efforts to communicate schedule changes and, where appropriate, arrange replacement instruction. Makeup sessions are subject to availability and are not guaranteed in every circumstance. Refunds will not be offered.

  • Classroom Policies & Academic Standards

  • Students must follow classroom instructions, use equipment responsibly, arrive prepared, participate appropriately, and respect the learning environment. Personal conversations, unrelated activities, unauthorized use of equipment, and other behavior that interferes with instruction may result in corrective action.

Assignments & Grades: Assignments must be completed and submitted according to the Professor's instructions and established deadlines. Late, incomplete, or missing work may affect grades and academic progress. Grades are based on the applicable academic criteria, quality of work, completion of requirements, participation where relevant, and other disclosed assessment standards.

Academic Concerns: Students who question a grade, evaluation, or instructional decision should first seek clarification respectfully through the appropriate academic channel. If the concern remains unresolved, the student may submit a written request for review to the Office of Admissions. Students may not submit a written request for review to the Office of Director. Students may not use disagreements over grades or feedback to intimidate instructors, disrupt class, or disregard reasonable classroom requirements.

Industry Placement Eligibility: Where industry placement consideration is offered, eligibility depends on attendance, punctuality, account standing, instructor approval, completion of required projects, assessment results, professionalism, and any additional written placement criteria. Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee a placement or specific professional outcome. Placements are subject to availability, student merit, submission of Capsule Collection, selection decision, and separate placement terms. Any placement application or administrative fee must be disclosed separately. Placement administrative fees are nonrefundable.

  • Code of Conduct & Professional Behavior

  • Students must treat all SELF Academy officials, partners, classmates, guests, and volunteers respectfully. The following conduct is prohibited:

    • Yelling, intimidation, threats, harassment, or personal attacks

  • Write-Up Policy

  • SELF Academy may document violations through written incident reports or disciplinary notices. Depending on the circumstances, a student may receive a verbal warning, written warning, conduct improvement plan, discplinary meeting, suspension, or termination of enrollment. Serious misconduct may warrant immediate protective action, including temporary removal from a class or studio while the incident is reviewed. SELF Academy will consider the nature, severity, frequency, and circumstances of the conduct when determining an appropriate response.

  • Student Complaints & Public Communication

  • Formal Complaints: Students may submit written complaints about instruction, grading, billing, personnel, policies, or other SELF Academy matters to the Office of Admissions. Complaints should identify the issue, relevatng dates, supporting information where available, and the resolution requested. SELF Academy will review complaints in a reasonable manner. Students must cooperate respectfully with reasonable requests for information.

Public Reviews and Social Media: Students may express honest opinions, share truthful experiences, publish good-faith reviews, and submit complaints to appropriate Academy authorities. Students must not engage in threats, harassment, impersonation, disclosure of protected private information, or knowingly false factual claims intended to cause harm. SELF Academy may respond to concerns and pursue lawful remedies where appropriate. SELF Academy will not impose discipline solely because a student raises a good-faith complaint.

Authorized Representation: Students may not claim to speak officially on behalf of SELF Academy. Students must not misrepresent their authority, use Academy branding to falsely imply endorsement, or disclose confidential records or protected business information. Students must not use SELF Academy's trademarked or registered logos and slogans.

  • Confidentiality & Intellectual Property

  • Course Materials, including lesson plans, instructional presentations, original patterns, templates, recordings, documents, and other proprietary resources, remain the property of SELF Academy or the applicable rights holder, subject to any third-party rights. Students may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, distribute, or commercially exploit properitary Course Materials; record, livestream, upload, or distribute classes, lectures, demonstrations, or recordings; share account credentials, passcodes, restricted links, or other access credentials; copy or transfer protected materials to unauthorized individuals or platforms; present SELF Academy-owned instructional content or confidential internal materials as their own; or use confidential Academy information to improperly compete with, disrupt, or harm SELF Academy. Unauthorized use may result in disciplinary action, and, where appropriate, lawful requests for removal, recovery of proven losses, or other available legal remedies.

Student Projects and Original Work: Students retain ownership of their original work to the extent provided by applicable law and any separate written agreement. Student ownership does not authorize the student to copy protected SELF Academy materials incorporated into that work. SELF Academy does not automatically acquire ownership of a student's original designs merely because they were created during the Program. Any separate transfer or commercial license must be established in writing.

Independent Educational or Business Activities: Students may not misappropriate Academy-owned intellectual property, use confidential information without written authorization from the Academy Director, or falsely represent the Academy's materials or services as their own. This Agreement does not automatically prohibit a student from pursuing independent fashion education, sewing, design, or other lawful business activities.

  • Studio Property, Tools & Theft

  • Academy tools, machines, equipment, supplies, and other studio property must be used only for authorized educational or operational purposes and in accordance with instructions from Professors and Teaching Assistants. All Academy-owned tools and equipment must remain in the classroom. Students may not remove, borrow, or relocate Academy property. Students are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings. The Academy is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen personal items.

The Academy may investigate reported incidents, restrict access to property or facilities where appropriate, take disciplinary action up to termination of enrollment, and pursue lawful remedies. Students may be held responsible for documented losses or damage to the extend permitted by law. Any replacement or administrative charge must be reasonable, disclosed where required, and legally permissible. No automatic punitive fine is imposed by this clause.

  • Safety, Injuries & Assumption of Risk

  • Studio Risks: The student understands that fashion design training may involve sewing machines, sergers, needles, scissors, rotary cutters, irons, pressing equipment, electrical equipment, and other tools that may cause injuiry if used impromperly. Students agree to follow safety instructions, use equipment only when authorized, maintain a safe workspace, and report unsafe conditions or injuiries promptly. Students must disclose any relevant safety concern that may affect their ability to use equipment safely and request reasonable assistance or accomodation where needed. Students must not operate unfamiliar or restricted equipment without instruction or permission. Unsafe behavior may result in removal from an activity or other appropriate disciplinary action.

Students authorize the Academy to contact the listed emergency contact in an emergency, subject to applicable law. The Academy does not guarantee the availability of medical personnel or on-site medical treatment.

For students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide the required consent on the student's behalf. The Academy may photograph and record minor students only in accordance with the applicable consent and legal requirements.

The Academy may identify, tag, credit, mention, or link to the student or the student's personal or business social media accounts when publishing media. • The student acknowldges that participation in SELF Academy's programs, classes, studio activities, events, use of equipment and tools, educational trips, field trips, showcases, events, and other Academy-related activities may involve certain risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, personal injury, illness, damange to or loss of personal property, equipment-related injuiries, travel-related incidents, and other foreseeable or unforeseeable risks associated with participation. The Student voluntarily assumes the ordinary risks associated with participation in these activities. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the student releases and agrees not to hold liable the Academy, its owners, founders, directors, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, agents, representatives, affiliates, and authorized personnel (collectively, the "Released Parties") for claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to the student's enrollment, participation in Academy activities, use of Academy facilities or equipment, participation in off-site activities, or interactions with other participants, except to the extent such claims arise from conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be waived or released.

The student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from third-party claims, demands, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal expenses arising out of or relating to the student's negligent, reckless, or intentional acts or omissions; the student's violation of this agreement or Academy policies; the student's misuse of Academy facilities, equipment, tools, or materials; the student's infringement of another person's rights; or damage to property or injury to another person caused by the student. This obligation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not require the student to indemnify a Released Party for that party's own negligence or other conduct where such indemnification is prohibited by law.

The student is responsible for safeguarding personal belongings brought to the Academy or to Academy-related activites. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Academy activities may take place at third-party facilities, businesses, venues, transportation providers, or event locations. The Academy does not control every condition or action at these locations. To the fullest extend permitted by law, the Released Parties are not responsible for acts or omissions of independent third parties beyond their legally attributable responsibility.

  • Academy Policies

  • The Academy may make reasonable changes to curriculum, instructional methods, faculty assignments, schedules, facilities, operating procedures, and policies as necessary for educational quality, safety, legal compliance, and effective operations. The Academy will provide notice of material changes that affect students' obligations or participation, as reasonably practicable and as required by the Agreement or applicable law. The Academy will not use this provision to unilaterally impose undisclosed tuition increases or eliminate established student rights where consent or additional notice is legally required. Changes to tuition, payment obligations, refund terms, or other material contractual provisions must be handled in accordance with the Agreement.

  • Suspension, Termination & Removal

  • The Academy may suspend or terminate a student's enrollment for reasons including, but not limited to: serious or repeated violations of the Code of Conduct; threats, harassment, violence, theft, or intentional property damage; repeated attendance violations; failure to meet academic or program requirements; material violations of intellectual property or confidentiality obligations; failure to meet financial obligations, where suspension or termination is contractually and legally permitted; and conduct that creates a serious safety risk or materially disrupts the educational environment. The Academy will determine the appropriate response based on the circumstances, the seriousness of the conduct, applicable policies, and legal requirements. Notice, review, or an opportunity to respond will be provided where required or appropriate. Termination or removal does not cancel outstanding financial obligations. Any remaining balance or future payment obligation will be determined by the signed payment agreement and applicable law. No refunds will be issued.

  • Privacy & Personal Information

  • The Academy collects student contact information, emergency contact information, enrollment records, paymetn information, academic records, and other information reasonably necessary to administer the Program. The Academy will use and disclose this information for legitimate educational, administrative, safety, billing, and legal purposes, subject to the Academy's applicable privacy practices. Students must provide accurate information and promptly update changes to contact or emergency information. The Academy will take reasonable steps to protect student information.

  • Before pursuing a formal dispute, the Academy will submit concerns in writing and allow a reasonable opportunity for resolution.

  • Governing Law

  • This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and constitutes the agreement between the parties concerning the matters addressed herein. If any provision is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent legally permissible.
