Join the Watauga Arts Council for a festive holiday art sale benefiting WAC!

When: Friday, December 4, 5-8pm (Festive First Friday)
Where: Betty's Biscuits, 640 W King St, Boone, NC, 28607
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, December 1st
Artwork Drop-Off: Oct. 26 - Dec. 4 at WAC during operating hours (M-F, 9am-5pm)
Participation Guidelines
- Registration is required.
- Artists may submit up to 5 pieces with a 50/50 sales split between the artist and WAC. Artists may also donate pieces, with 100% of proceeds going to WAC; these do not count toward the five-piece limit.
- Each piece must measure 12 inches or less on its longest side.
- All 2D and 3D mediums are welcome, excluding jewelry.
- Submitted pieces must have been made within the last year.
- Artwork must be display-ready and suitable for gifting.
- All pieces must be priced at $20, $40, $60, $80, or $100. Artwork priced at $20 and $40 may sell more quickly, as these price points are especially appealing for holiday gifting.
- After registering, drop off your work at WAC’s office (377 Shadowline Dr, Boone, NC 28607) within the time frame detailed above. Each piece must be labeled with Artist Name, Title of Piece (if applicable), and Price. Please also identify any fully donated pieces.
- Participation is subject to available space. WAC may close registration early if capacity is reached and will contact any affected artists.
Artwork & Sales
Artwork will be dropped off at WAC by the artist before the deadline. WAC staff will transport artwork to Betty's Biscuits for the event. Unsold pieces will return to WAC, where artists may choose to pick them up or include them in our End-of-Year Art Clearance Sale.
Sales Proceeds: The default commission is 50/50. However, artists may choose to donate pieces entirely to WAC. These pieces will not count towards the 5-piece limit.
