Pine Rivers Bears will reimburse the Referee for the registration to the Brisbane Referees Association for the 2027 season. This is approx. $100. Receipt/proof of payment is to be emailed to the Treasurer via accounts@pineriversbears.com.au.

Any cost of uniforms will be paid BY THE REFEREE. This will be approx. $100. Please DO NOT ORDER UNIFORMS YET. Uniforms will be upgraded for the 2027 season, however have not been released by the Association yet.
Submitting this form does not guarantee you will be selected as a Junior Referee for Pine Rivers Bears in the 2027 season. The Committee will be in contact to confirm if your application is successful in due course. Pine Rivers Bears have implemented a Referee cap to try and ensure all Referees get a fair amount of games throughout the season.
Referees are a paid job, and all Referees must adhere with all Code of Conducts (i.e. Pine Rivers Bears, Brisbane Referees, NRL etc) as well as any uniform requirements.
Referees will need to be available on Friday Nights and Sundays most weekends. Some Saturday fixtures may be required as well. There are no issues with a Referee playing as well as Refereeing, as long as availability is communicated effectively with the Referee Coordinator.
By submitting this form, the Referee acknowledges that if the applicant is successful, the Pine Rivers Bears will be making an investment on the Referee through payment of their registration/training, payment of their game fees (which are above the minimum pay grades), and the time of the Referee Coordinator. If the Referee decides to no longer Referee before completing a minimum of 4 games, the Referee will need to reimburse Pine Rivers Bears any moneys paid by the club (i.e. the $100 registration to the Referees Association).
If the Referee is over 18 years old, a Blue Card is mandatory.
