    Audition Registration Window: October 26-November 16, 2026

    Auditions on Tuesday, 11/17: Instructions/Dates/Times
    Auditions will be held in the Playwrights Theatre, Shasta Hall 101, on Tuesday, November 17, 2026. 

    Please visit the Sacramento State Theatre and Dance website audition page to sign-up for a time slot via the online registration form AND upload a recent headshot, resume and complete the online audition information form.

    Callbacks: November 19, 5pm; Playwrights Theatre (SHS 101)
    Callbacks will consist of sides from the script that will be made available Thursday 11/19 morning to those who are called back. You do not need to memorize the sides but be familiar with them. Callbacks might also include physical movement, so dress comfortably.

    The Department of Theatre and Dance will be sending employees to rehearsals and performances to take visual/audio images for marketing and archival purposes. Please read the below paragraph from CSUS Image Release form and sign in the designated area. Thank you.

  • Important Dates:

    Rehearsal Schedule:
    Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: 5:30–9:30 pm
    Fridays: 1:00-5:00 pm
    Wednesdays and Saturdays: OFF
    Sundays: 5:30–8:00 pm
    Rehearsals start as early as 1/25/2027.

    Tech Week:
    Mon-Fri 4/5-4/9 5pm-10pm

    Dress Rehearsals:
    Mon-Wed 4/12-4/14 5pm-10pm

    Performances:
    4/15-4/17 5pm call, 7pm curtain
    4/18 12pm call, 2pm curtain

    4/22-4/24 5pm call, 7pm curtain
    4/23 8am call, 10am curtain - Local Middle and High School Outreach matinee
    4/25 12pm call, 2pm curtain

    Strike:
    4/25 5:30pm-10pm

    Please note that any conflicts with the dress rehearsal and performance schedule will not be permitted and will affect casting choices. 



    Costume Fitting Expectations:
    All performers offered roles should expect to be called in for an initial measurement appointment (approx. 15 min long) in the weeks following being cast. All performers will be called in for 1-3 costume fittings (30-60 min long) as the show approaches. All measurement and fitting appointments are scheduled during regular Costume Shop hours (8am-5pm).

I am able to attend all of these important dates, I will be available during my stated availability above for costume fittings, rehearsals, media events, etc. I understand that no new conflicts will be allowed beyond what I've listed above.*
