「彌陀法會」是以稱念阿彌陀佛聖號為主，是重要的實踐法門之一。佛經云：「念佛一聲，福增無量；禮佛一拜，罪滅河沙。」念佛功德殊勝，自悟彌陀本性，滅除煩惱業，更能往生極樂世界，花開見佛，聞悉法音﹐開佛知見。
本寺謹訂於十二月十二日至十三日，啟建彌陀法會「精進念佛二永日」。一方面慶祝阿彌陀佛的聖誕，另一方面精進勇猛，一心不亂的念佛。願以此功德回向護法信徒善根增長、福慧俱增；歷代祖先往生淨土、蓮品增上。屆時歡迎闔府蒞臨，專心持念萬德洪名，同霑法益！

The "Amitabha Dharma Service" focuses primarily on reciting the sacred name of Amitabha Buddha and is a vital method of spiritual practice. As the Buddhist scriptures state: "Reciting the Buddha’s name once yields immeasurable blessings; bowing to the Buddha once eliminates countless karmic obstacles." The merits of chanting are supreme: it allows us to realize our own Amitabha-nature, eradicate afflictions and karma, and achieve rebirth in the Western Pure Land—where the lotus blossoms, we meet the Buddha, hear the Dharma, and awaken to Buddha-knowledge.
To celebrate Amitabha Buddha’s birthday, Fo Guang Shan Dallas temple will hold a two-day Amitabha Chanting Service from December 12th to 13th. This service serves both to celebrate this sacred birthday and to encourage diligent, single-minded mindfulness through chanting. We will dedicate the merits of this service to our devotees for the growth of their wholesome roots and the simultaneous cultivation of blessings and wisdom. We also dedicate it to our ancestors, praying that they attain rebirth in the Pure Land and ascend in lotus grade.
