Synopsis

Two lonely strangers, Jori and Albert, take a newfound friendship test that determines they are destined to be best friends. The only problem is Jori is a woman, and Albert is a man, and men and women can't be best friends. Or can they? Written by critically acclaimed playwright Charles Jackson Jr., A Different Love Story is a heartfelt comedy that questions the limits we place on love between men and women and asks whether platonic love matters as much as romantic love.

Characters

ALBERT: Cis-Man. Late 20s to Early 30s. Black. A twin. Looking for a best friend to cure his loneliness since losing his brother.

YAYA/ AI YAYA: Cis-Woman. Early 30s or older. Black. Creator of the friendship test.
