What to Submit

• One original, hand-drawn design made with medium-tip markers on plain white paper
• The words “Hurricanes Winter Championship Team” somewhere in the design
• No more than 2 colors

How to Enter

Submit a clear, well-lit photo or scan of your design (.jpg, .png or .pdf) using this form by November 30. Fill out all portions of the form. Parents, feel free to help with this part! Please hold on to your original artwork in case we need to request it.

How we’ll choose

Our 13 & Over Senior swimmers will vote on the entries, and all designs will be voted on anonymously (names will be removed before designs are sent to selection committee).  The winner will be announced on December 7, and shirts will be available to order in January.

Tips

• Keep it bold and simple so it screen-prints well and looks great from across the pool deck
• Have fun and be creative!

Contest Rules & Eligibiity

Eligibility: Open to Hurricanes swimmers age 12 & Under. One entry per swimmer. Entries must be submitted by November 30. Late entries cannot be accepted. Original work only. The artwork must be the swimmer’s own. Parents may help with logistics, such as photographing the design and sending the email.
Colors: Use a maximum of 2 colors on white paper. The selection committee will choose the shirt color. Based on the shirt chosen by the selection committee, design colors may be altered.
Usage rights: By entering, you agree that the Hurricanes may use the winning design on team apparel, the team website, social media, and future team materials.
Print adjustments: The selection committee and/or printer may make changes to the winning design to get it print-ready, such as cleaning up lines, adjusting colors, or resizing.
Appropriate content: All designs must be team-appropriate.
Final decisions: Decisions of the selection committee are final.
