Local Myths — Open Call

Physical Exhibition in Midtown Manhattan + Online Exhibition on Artsy

LOCAL MYTHS, Nov 18 - Nov 22, FLOHAUS Gallery

Local Myths explores how artists construct new mythologies from the cultures and environments they inhabit.

Myths do not belong only to the distant past. They continue to take shape through the places we live, the stories we inherit, and the symbols we encounter in everyday life. Some artists draw from folklore, religious imagery, or regional traditions, while others transform personal memories, familiar objects, and ordinary figures into images that feel symbolic, archetypal, or otherworldly..

Artists working across painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, video, installation, ceramics, digital media, and mixed media are invited to apply.
