Skill requirements for installers applicants:

The position available in our Installation Department involves Climbing Ladders, Lifting over 70 lbs., work in crawl spaces as well as installing signs which could be located at more than 100ft high. Because of the nature of the service we provide as installers, we are required to work under extreme outside temperatures, such as above 80 degrees or at below 20 degrees. We are also exposed to drizzling and soft rain.

Skill requirements for fabrication shop & logistics applicants:

The position available in our Fabrication Department involves Climbing Ladders, Lifting over 70 lbs., standing over four hours and work in a dusty and noisy environment. Because of the nature of the service and products we provide, we are exposed to strong smells and chemicals, such as paint, glue, acetone, thinner, etc.

DRUG TEST AUTHORIZATION: This is a Drug-Free workplace. Would you allow CAD Signs to schedule a drug screening with one of the clinics of our choice?
DMV ABSTRACT: Would you authorize CAD Signs to pull any of your DMV records?
BACKGROUND AND REFERENCE CHECKS: Would you authorize CAD Signs to conduct a background check as well as to contact any of your work-related references given on this application?
DRIVERS LICENSE: Some positions require the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license. At the pre-employment stage, the candidate would be required to provide proof that he or she has a valid driver’s license. Would you authorize Cad Signs to keep a copy of your driver’s license for record keeping and to use on insurance information?

• MEDICAL CARD
Employee is responsible to present a medical card within 2 weeks if entering to the company workforce (drivers only)
• WORK ACCIDENT REPORTING

You MUST report any work accident immediately it happens, and/or have a co-worker call and report it to the company, we must be notified and we will determine what action to take depending on the seriousness of the accident.

If the accident is life threating, you should call 911 before you call anybody else.
• TOOL RULES

Cad Signs will only provide power or battery tools. All the HAND TOOLS must be provided by the employee.

We will provide Battery Drills and testers. These are assigned to you and Only YOU. If you lose them or negligently damage them, you will be responsible for the remaining fair value of the used Tool or for its full replacement cost. These tools will remain CAD SIGNS property.

Cad Signs are not responsible for any lost, Misplaced or Stolen item.

You are responsible to keep your toolbox or Locker Locked at all times.

We will also provide a CAMERA and a GPS that will remain property of the company. You are responsible for them, and you should treat them as yours. Handle them with care. If you damage them and we determine it has been for careless and negligent treatment, you will be responsible for their fair market value or full replacement value.
• TICKET RULES

CAD Signs provides quarters and Meter Cards. We are not responsible for; Expired Meter Tickets or fines given for violations such as Street Cleaning, illegal parking on a “no parking zone” or “Bus Stop” unless the employee calls and notifies the company and gets the manager’s approval before the violation happens. Your manager is the only one who will determine if you should park on those zones.
• OSHA TICKETS AND FINES

To get a FULL-TIME, Long-term employment in the company you are required to have at very minimum an OSHA 10. If you don’t have it, you need to get it done before you can start working for this company. (Not applicable for TEMP 1-5 Days workers / subcontractors).

You will be provided with Safety Equipment, (Property of cad signs). You need to wear it as needed it. If you feel you need any additional safety equipment you could request it. After reviewing the situation, if we determine that in fact is required, we will provide it.

CAD Signs is not responsible for OSHA citations or fines due to: Misuse or fail to use the PROVIDED safety equipment such as GLOVES, SAFETY GLASSES, HARNESS, HARD HAT, etc.

You are also responsible to Wear BOOTS, Long Pants, or any other proper attire depending on the job at hand.
• WORKING HOURS and PENALTIES FOR ARRIVING LATE

NORMAL start time is at 7:00am

However, you might be required to report to work earlier than 7:00am if your manager arranges that way.

Managers might also arrange that you report to work at a later hour, without jeopardizing your full-time or part-time status.

If you come past 7:05, or 05 minutes past your scheduled starting working time, you are considered late and you will get a memo for tardiness. After the 3rd tardiness memorandum, we will suspend you for 1 day without pay. If the lateness continues, it will be considered grounds for TERMINATION of employment
• CONDUCT AND COMPANY REPRESENTATION

We EXPECT you to be Respectful, Professional, Courteous, and have Good Manners.

For instance, we don’t tolerate male employees disrespecting or disrespectfully flirting with women on the streets or job sites during work hours and / or while wearing our company’s uniform.

Also, we expect you to keep the same level of Integrity as your self-portrait during your job interview.

We don’t tolerate any employee having confrontations, discussions, fights, or altercations with co-workers, managers, pedestrians, law enforcement agents, or anyone for Any Reason; Fair or Unfair, Right or Wrong, everything can be Resolved with mediation, communication or deflection. Aggressive or Disrespectful Behavior is considered Grounds for Immediate Termination of employment.
• UNIFORMS

Entities act through the people who represent their employees.

We expect you to keep a clean and organized appearance, to always look and Act Professional, childish and immature behavior is Strictly Prohibited.

CAD Signs provides company uniforms for employees who work in the fabrication department. It also gives out T-shirts and/or hats to installers and other employees.

If you are wearing the company’s uniform or any other item which has our company’s logo, you are representing us. Your behavior or misbehavior as an individual will affect our company.

We suggest you do NOT wear our company’s logo of working hours. However, if you do, we advise you to keep in mind to keep our image in good standard.
• FOLLOWING ORDERS

You need to follow instructions from the manager or TEAM LEADER / FOREMAN that is assigned to your crew. If you are not in full capacity of following their instructions or have a problem with any of them, you need to report it to management immediately and explain the reasons why you think you should not follow such orders.
• CELL PHONE USE

Cell phone use should be limited. Use it for basic communication with co-workers, management, or basic family conversations or emergencies.

Texting, playing, and doing other DISTRACTING activities with the phone while at work, are strictly prohibited. If a FORMAN or TEAM LEADER asks you to put the phone away, please do so respectfully and limit the use to basic or emergency use.
• WORKING ON THE SIDE WHILE ON COMPANY HOURS

Performing any type of work for other people or other entity while working on CAD Signs hours will be grounds for IMMEDIATE termination of employment. It does not matter how small the job is, working with or for other people without CAD Signs authorizations is NOT allowed. This policy will be STRICTLY Enforced without exception and any Employee found and proven doing such, will be IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
• DAMAGE TO COMPANY VEHICLES OR PROPERTY

CAD Sings will review Damages on a Case by Case and will determine if the employee is responsible, they will have the opportunity to voluntarily fix and remediate the damage. Careless use or negligently damaging company property is reason for termination of employment.
