The mission of the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon is to raise funds to support the prevention, education, and treatment of heart disease in Sullivan County, with a focus on both physical and mental health.
Each year, the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon brings together local businesses, organizations, and community members to raise funds that directly benefit Sullivan County. We believe the greatest impact comes from working together, and we are looking for beneficiary organizations that will be active partners in our fundraising efforts, not simply recipients of funding.
Organizations seeking financial support for equipment, programs, or services that align with the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon's mission are invited to apply for consideration.
Beneficiary Eligibility & Participation
To be considered, organizations must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered nonprofit organization.
- Be based in and serve Sullivan County.
- Provide programs, services, or equipment that align with the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon's mission of prevention, education, and treatment of heart disease in Sullivan County.
- Commit to actively participating in fundraising efforts leading up to and/or including 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon day.
- Have a representative or spokesperson available to participate in Heart-A-Thon activities and the event itself.
Opportunities for Participation
There are many ways to get involved, and we encourage organizations to participate in ways that best fit their resources, staff, and volunteers.
Opportunities include:
- Heart Card Sales: Offering and promoting Heart Cards at your business, office, or organization.
- Community Events: Providing volunteers and support at fundraising activities and events leading up to 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon.
- Off-Site Fundraising: Helping sell Heart Cards at Resorts World Catskills on designated weekends or at other participating community locations.
- Independent Fundraising: Organizing your own fundraiser, campaign, or activity to benefit the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon.
- Heart-A-Thon Day: Providing volunteers, representatives, or hands-on assistance during the event.
