Dame Valerie Beral Fellowship Awards2027

^{The International Epidemiological Association (IEA) established the Dame Valerie Beral Fellowships in 2022 to honor the memory of IEA Past President, Dame Valerie Beral (2014-2017) and her lifelong advocacy and support of women pursuing careers in epidemiology. This year, three Fellowships will be awarded to female, early-career epidemiologists to enable their attendance at the World Congress of Epidemiology, August 31 -3 September 2027 in Medellín, Colombia. Fellowship recipients are awarded World Congress of Epidemiology registration fees, travel expenses and housing expenses by the Association. Recipients are acknowledged by the President at each Congress.}

^{Applicants are judged on the following criteria: IEA membership, merit, and evidence of service to IEA, or willingness to serve IEA. Two of the recipients will be IEA Early-Career Epidemiology members from low-middle income countries and the third will be an IEA Early- Career Epidemiologist member from a high-income country.}
