City Innovation Fund

Bristol BID has £25,000 available to support projects benefiting city centre businesses and the wider community. Grants of £200–£5,000 are available for projects delivered between April and October 2027.

Projects must take place within the Bristol BID area and support at least one of four themes: Experiences & Promotion, Safe & Supported Communities, Clean & Welcoming, or Sustainable & Green.

Deadline: 31 January 2027

Innovative ideas are particularly welcome. Applicants must demonstrate previous project experience and provide a reference.

1 - Outline the project you are seeking funding for, with reference to how it fits within our project themes. Please also include details of any local organisations you will be working with to deliver the project or initiative.

2 - The Bristol BID City Innovation Fund is currently open to applications of up to £5,000 - please state the amount of funding you are applying for and whether you would be interested in a partial offer.

3 - Provide your draft budget and breakdown of costs. Please note, Bristol BID, as part of Visit West Ltd, is a Real Living Wage employer (accredited by the Living Wage Foundation) and we encourage those we work with or subcontract to also pay their employees at this minimum level.

4 - Provide a detailed timeline for your project, which should be completed by 31 October 2027 (the end of the BID financial year). If you are seeking funding for long-term projects or ones that progress into 2027/28, please get in touch prior to submitting your application.

5 - Will any funds awarded to you by Bristol BID be used as part of a match funding programme? If yes, please confirm details and value of match funding you expect to receive, along with the names of investors, should you be successful with your Bristol BID City Innovation Fund application.

6 - Outline your marketing and publicity strategy (including budget breakdown if appropriate/relevant).
